It was a quiet, chilly day for
February fourteenth. Even though the sun was shining bright, the wind still put out a shivering breeze and for Ally Hewlett that meant less people on the streets. Or so she thought.

Ally was on her way to Mr. Putz's
Supermarket when she spotted a familiar group of faces standing in her path. She only had one more street to cross before her feet crossed into the parking lot, but she didn't want to be seen while doing so.

The small group was typing away
on their devices, easily distracted so Ally used this as her chance. She watched as the crosswalk sign told her to walk and she put her coat hood over her head, stuffed her hands into her pockets, and crossed the street onto the next sidewalk.

Her walk was slow and steady and
she vowed to keep her head down until she was at her destination. She decided if the notorious group were too busy texting and laughing away, she would just be another passerby. As she approached them, several deep breaths came from within her.

Fortunately as she passed by, the
group of teenagers didn't dare look towards her direction. Ally did a mental happy dance until she felt something hard slam into the back of her leg.

Her hands landed on the cement
crosswalk but held her up so she could steady herself and saw that it was a rock that hit her.

"Did you really think we wouldn't
notice you freckle face?", Chloe asked mockingly.

Next to comment was a short,
muscled, black haired jock, "Yeah you walked so calmly we almost took you for a normal pedestrian. We glanced at you before you came over dummy."

Ally paid no attention to the
ignorant noises but instead kept her steady pace to the market.

That is until a sudden angry face
appeared in her way, stopping her tracks.

The queen leader, Tonya, could
have smacked poor Ally right then but she just got her nails done so there wasn't a chance.

An angry finger waves in Ally's face.

"Hey! When my people are talking to you, you respond back! Understood?"

Ally nodded immediately not
wanting to cause anymore trouble.

"Good. Don't let it happen again, nerd."

The queen had left Ally a personal
token of saliva on her shoe. It could be worse. Calmly as ever, Ally ignored it and headed for the market parking lot. Once inside, she strolled down the candy aisle where the limited supply of Chocolate Thunder Balls was dying to be in her tummy.

There were signs all over the
market about the delicious goodies, customers fighting left and right to get "the very last box." As Ally grabbed two each, a small smile appeared on her face as she was delighted to have a sweet Valentine this year.

"Wow these things are selling like
drugs! Is this your second time around buying these?", The semisweet cashier asked Ally as she rung her stuff up.

"Nope it's the first and I can tell.
The chocolate must have some kind of cherry filled deliciousness inside."

"I curse the company that made
these anyhow, it's been hectic ALL day! Anyway, you have a lovely day.", The cashier waved her customer off and went on to the next.
