I love the cold. Actually, I'm more used to it rather than loving it. Ironic since I live in California, but I do live near the Bay Area. I remember when I used to love the summer and I how I loved playing at the park during summer vacation. Those were some fun days. But now, all I do is wait. I let the breeze push me towards where I should go. I never decide for myself. The wind blows me back in forth. Spineless. Mindless. The only way I could find happiness is if it comes to me. That's why I love the cold. Better yet, I love the wind...

"Hey Sora! Your uh...friend is here." I'd hear my mom yell from downstairs. "Coming!" I reply. I ran downstairs and I see my friend Zion standing in front of the front door talking to my dad. Zion turns his head to me quickly. "Yo! What's good my dude!" He'd say enthusiastically as he runs up to me and gives me a hug. "Hey man." I'd say with a deep voice. "Cmon! Bailey's waiting in the car right now." Zion said. "Oh okay," I respond. Zion is my only friend and the only guy I can depend on. He saved me from almost getting a knife stabbed through my hand when someone threw a knife in the air in home economics. I walk out of the house without saying goodbye to my parents. They didn't seem to bother saying bye to me so I decided to ignore them. I see Bailey waving through the car window. "Sora! Omg! It's been a while!" She shout. "Hehe...yeah it has." I'd respond. "What was that?" Bailey asked. "I couldn't hear you." "Nothing." I'd say with a little louder voice. As I open the car door I see a ton of boxes and bags full of children's toys and clothes. "Oh yeah! You'll have to sit in the middle so the boxes won't squish Bailey alright?" Zion said looking behind the driver's seat. "Okay?" I respond with confusion. I slide through the boxes and I sit in the middle. I felt awkwardly close to Bailey. When I tightened my seatbelt I look up and see Bailey looking at me with a smile. "What?" I say with a skeptical face. "Nothing." She says with a high-pitched voice.

"What movie are we watching again?" I ask. Bailey responds, "The First Time I Lived. It's a drama/romance film." "Wait what?" I'd pout. "Oh calm down Sora. I read the reviews. There doesn't seem to be 'that' much kissing scenes," Zion says with his laid-back chill voice. Bailey snickered and then slowly looked out the car window. I could see her reflection on the window. She looked hypnotized as if she was stuck in a trance as she looked at the clouds in the sky. "Hey Sora," she says. "When will you be happy again?" I'd slowly look down as her words echoed through my ears into my brain. "I don't know." I'd reply with a quiet voice. Bailey responds, "Well, tell me when so I can see your smile." My eyes widened as I slowly looked up at her. "Alright. Deal." I'd say. I'd look back down and I smirk without anyone looking. I will... I'd say in my mind. In your dreams.
"We're here!" Zion exclaimed. "Yay!" Bailey squealed. As soon as Zion parked the car, Bailey unbuckled both hers and my seatbelt and exclaimed, "Come on! Let's buy some popcorn!" She drags me out of the car and starts to run as she was pulling me. "Wh- Wait! Hold u-" I'd exclaim as I struggled to stay on my feet as she ran with her hand gripped onto my left arm. Bailey slowed down as we walked into the movie theater. I started to catch my breath. I look behind me and I saw Zion just walking past me with a smug look on his face. "You two look cute together." He'd say in a deep voice. I look over at Bailey and I realized her face was a little red. I tilted my head and asked, "You okay?" "Yeah," she'd reply with a smile. All three of us walk into the movie theater. There was popcorn and a ton of soda spills on the floor. "So unsanitary..." Zion said as he stepped on a spilled plastic soda cup. "I'll buy the food. How bout you two head over to the theater so we can get a good spot." Zion said. "Wait wh-" I say, but interrupted by Bailey. "Okay!" She's exclaim as she grabbed my arm again. She dragged me to the front desk. A man with a uniform that says, 'Forest Waters Movie Theater' walked up to the desk and asked us, "Name and tickets please?" Bailey replied, "I'm Bailey and this is Sora. I have another friend named Zion buying snacks over there. We'll be watching The First Time I Lived. We were told it was scheduled for 3:00 P.M." Bailey placed the three tickets on the desk. Then man took the tickets and scanned them. "Alright. Enjoy the movie." He said while handing us our tickets back. "Thank you." Bailey replied. "Cmon!" She's exclaim as she grabbed my arm once more. She dragged me all the way to the theater. When we reached the entrance, she slowed down and released my arm. "Ow..." I'd say softly. "Sorry! I'm just really excited to see this movie! Eeeek!" She'd squeal. I'd cover one ear because of how loud she was. "Ok but don't be this loud when we're in the theater. I don't want to get kicked out again..." "Okie dokie!" She'd say with glee.

We walked into the theater and sat on the 5th row in the very middle. Since there was 8 rows, the 5th row was the best view of the screen. Bailey whispered to me, "Can you sit in the middle of us three please?" "Why?" I'd ask. "So I can go to the bathroom without running in front of everyone." "Oh okay." I sat in the very middle seat. There was 11 seats in the row, so I sat on the 6th seat. I say down slowly while Bailey just hopped into her seat like she was on a trampoline. I see Zion walking up the steps with two large bags of popcorn. "Here," he said as he handed me one of the bags. "You can share with Bailey. This one is mine." I was confused because before he picked me up, he texted me, "I'll bring enough money for all 3 large popcorns." I guess he forgot. I placed the bag in between me and Bailey. The theater was so cold. I even though I like the cold, it was freezing in the entire theater. I could barely feel my hands and legs. I was shivering and I all I have is a varsity jacket with ripped wholes so that didn't really help. I decided to pretend I'm not cold and just tried to enjoy the movie. I reached in the bag for some popcorn and I end up touching Bailey's hand. I grab a handful of popcorn and I'd whisper to her, "Sorry..." She whisper back saying, "Don't worry. Your hands feel warm to me." She'd smile at me. I slowly looked back at the screen in shock. What is wrong with me... I'd ask myself. When did the theater start to feel so warm...
