I wake up, it is time to get up, for 'work'
I climb from my hammock, and look out the only window of the one room housing.
It is pitch black out side. No...stars? yes that's what you people call them, 'stars'. Where I live there is none of your 'stars'.
I don't know what time it is tho I never do, I just get up to do my 'work'.
But I'm guessing it's the time that you all go to bed. Well at least most.. the other half I get to 'help'.
I leave the pitch black window, the rest of the room is empty, just the hammock and a coat rack by the door, the only thing on it is the black cloak I always wear, for 'work'.
The room is what you people call gray, with some objects a thing called black or white, the room doesn't have 'color'. I grab the cloak. It's time to go, to 'work'.
I stand by the door for a second, then open it at the same moment that the others housers do. We are off to 'work'.
We all step out, of the housing, and turn to the left and continue walking, to the lift, we all, seven of us, gather in the lift, and watch as the door to the lift closes.
I feel the lift descending, we all wait.
*ding*
The door opens, along with the others lifts, and we all step out, all 693 of us. Before us is the tram, ready for us to go to 'work'.
We all board the tram seven by seven, taking the usual seats. I took the one I was usually in.
We have all board the tram, not wasting a single second. As soon as the last one got on the doors closed and we have left. Off to 'work'.
All I could hear is the tracks below us. I look out the window and watch the 'blackness'.
I put felt the paper in the cloak and took it out, looking at the names of the clients, of you.
We pull to a stop, and a door opens and one of us gets up, and steps out the door to do their 'work'.
The door closes as soon as they leave and we are off again. And again. And again. And again.
Finally, no one gets up. It is the stop for me, for the clients on the paper.
I get up and steps out the door, and continue walking, not watching the tram roll away.
I have 'work' to do.
We have 'work' to do.
As 'sleep givers'.
