I spend hours with earphones

stuck in my ear,

listening to the melodies

as they transport me to another world.

but there are times,

when not even the sweetest ballad

can satisfy me.

I switch from album to album,

replaying all the songs that melt my heart.

and perhaps it's the transition

between Billy Joel and All Time Low,

that makes the connection in my brain.

I just need to drop the earphones,

and spend time with you,

the best melody of them all...
