I remember that moving to LA was seemingly mandatory, and made an immediate priority. I wasn't 100% sure what I really was expecting to find there. Of course, I told myself that I was going to LA solely for the purpose to become well known. My writing bringing me, if not dragging me to the city. But, of course, the underlying truth was that I was desperate for something. I was craving excitement, I was craving to escape the routine, the dreary day by day exploration of normality. So, I packed and I left, taking my childish dreams and hopes with me. Leaving behind all I have known to venture beyond my comfort level, to open my mind to the other side of life.
