Guy~de's POV

I sat on the board walk watching the ships come and go. I leaned back my arms holding me up.

I let my legs dangle as I listened to the laughter coming from the island. I loved it to bits but lately the smiles were all fake.

Running my hands through my dark brown hair I got lost in thought about the island.

I jumped when my radio buzzed.

"Guy~de to reception please that was Guy~de to reception" The radio yelled.

I sighed snapping my fingers and disappearing from the boardwalk in a smoke cloud and reappeared at reception.

I put on a smile walking to the reception.

"Hey Kat why was I called here?" I grinned.

"Oh well we have a new lifeguard and the boss put you in charge of looking after him and getting him used to the island!" Kat giggled.

I smiled and nodded but as soon as I was out of sight of people I sighed hoping the person wouldn't be too much trouble.

I went looking around for this new lifeguard. A man approached me, wearing the resorts lifeguard swimming trunks. He also had a cross necklace on. He looked familiar somehow.

"Excuse me but do you know where Guy~de is?" He asked.

"Right in front of you!" I giggled.

His eyes widened and he blushed adverting his eyes from me.

"Are you ok?" I ask.

"F-Fine.." he stuttered.

"Soooo... what's your name?" I asked.

"The names Nate" he answered.

"Nice to meet you now lets see I'll give you a tour of the island and stuff" I smiled.

I'm so tired of smiling it's annoying but I mustn't ruin my reputation for being the happiest worker ever.

"Hey are you ok?" Nate asked walking next to me.

"Of course why wouldn't I be!" I asked positively.

"I can see right through your fake smile you know" Nate said.

"I have no idea what you're on about!" I chuckled.

Crap.. How can he see right through this!?

"Guy.. if you wanna talk about it you can talk to me" he smiled.

I took his hand and we appeared on the boardwalk I was on earlier.

I sat down and so did he.

"You don't know me why do you want to help me?" I asked.

"Because as a coworker of you I want you to be happy" he answered.

I sighed frowning slightly.

"I don't really know what's wrong I think I'm just going through a bit of depression or something" I sighed again.

"This is gonna shock you but can I do something and I know we just met but I wanna do it" Nate blushed.

"I guess" I answer looking at the sky.

Nate grabbed my head with his hands and kissed me.

My eyes shot open in shock. I felt something inside of me.. A little shimmer of what used to be my happiness.

No.. It couldn't be.

I pulled away looking at the boy in front of me. I clasped my hand on my mouth tears falling as I cried.

"Nate! Is that really you?" I asked.

"Hello Guy long time no see huh?" Nate smiled.

I cried harder tackling him into a hug. He hugged me tighter as I cried into his chest.

"It's been a long time since I've been able to say this but I love you Guy.." Nate whispered into my ear.

"I love you too" I sobbed.
