I sprint through the woods, the trees beside me flashing by in a blur. My heart is pounding, I'm dripping in sweat, and my breaths are shallow. Adrenaline is coursing through my veins and and my long, raven hair is matted. The sky above me is pitch black, no stars to be seen. The full moon is shining brightly, illuminating everything in my path. I hear heavy footsteps behind me and run even faster. What exactly is it that I'm running from? When I look behind me, there's nothing but giant oak trees. I slow to a stop, staring into the empty space in front of me.

Suddenly, my feet are no longer on the ground and my back connects with a nearby tree. The excruciating pain causes my knees to buckle and brings me to the ground. Twigs and small rocks dig painfully into my skin. As I lift my head, I see a dark figure making it's way towards me. When it steps into the light, I barely hear my own gasp. His gray hair, spotted horns, bright yellow eyes, large black wings and lavender skin make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. The closer he gets, the better I see the crack-like markings on his face and body.

"Who are you? Why are you doing this?" I demand, my voice weak and barely detectable.

"Well, if I told you that, we wouldn't have nearly as much fun." He chuckles. The smirk on his face as he kneels down makes the pit in my stomach grow. I finally get a good enough look at him and see that the whites of his eyes are crimson red. Out of the corner of my eye, I see a clawed hand slowly creep towards my face. They barely skim my face before his hand snatches my chin. My face contorts in disgust as I writhe under his grip. The more I move, the tighter his grip becomes.

"Such a pretty thing. But that's not enough to mask your wrong doings." His eyes scan my face as if inspecting it as he brings it closer to his. Acting on instinct,my hands fly to his bare chest as I push him. He seems unphased by my action as he wraps his fingers around my wrists and pins them behind my back.

"Now, don't do that. The fun is only just beginning." He smirks. I feel all the color drain from my face as he leans in, his gaze switching between my eyes and lips.

"What the hell are you doing?" I yell. He ignores my question as I feel his hot breath against my cheek. My mouth goes to the side of his neck and I sink my teeth into his flesh. He howls in pain as blood pours from his wound, the metallic taste nearly making me gag. As he tends to his injury, I take off further into the woods. It doesn't take long before I hear his wings flapping dangerously close behind me.

I feel his hands wrap around my shoulders as he pins me to the ground. As I try to crawl out from under him, I feel his claws dig into the flesh on my calves, tearing it down to the bone and rendering me motionless. Tears stream down my face as I scream in agony. I'm flipped over and my back arches in pain. When I finally open my eyes, he's towering over me.

"You really shouldn't have done that, Holy Knight Katrina." The moment the words leave his mouth, my stomach drops and my bright blue eyes widen. I watch in horror as he raises his hand a strange ball of dark energy forms in his hand. The excruciating pain in my calves and the shock coursing through my body keeps me in place. I'm only left to scream as the energy ball is hurled towards my cowering figure.
