The Hollow and The Angel

Chapter 4

When I woke up I remembered it was Saturday so I got dressed, got breakfast for me and Anubis, for we had to find work today. When we went into town we split up so if we found some good jobs then we could let the other know about them. I found two jobs, one was for part time at a library, and the other was for part time at a flower shop. It was 3 hours that we got back together to discuss who would take what job or jobs. We both went to the park to discuss who would take what job. "Hey, I found two part time jobs, one is for walking some people's dogs, and the other is for part time at a hospital called the Kurosaki clinic!" Anubis said excitedly. "Well I found two part time jobs as well." I said calmly. "What are they! What are they!" Anubis asked. "One is to help put books back on the shelf's in order for the librarian, the other is to plant and water some flowers at a flower shop." I said.

"How about you calm down a little bit and talk, not yell, ok?" I asked. "Oh, sorry, I was just excited." Anubis said rubbing the back of his head, embarrassed. "Ok, now why don't you go first and choose the ones you want." I suggested. "Ok well, I was thinking of walking the dogs and helping at the flower shop, what about you?" he asked. "Well I was thinking of helping at the library and helping at the clinic." I said. "That sounds like a good plan." he said. We exchanged the addresses so we could find the places easier.

Anubis's P.O.V.

When we switched the addresses I immediately went for the dog walking place I found first. It was a nice looking blue house, only looking to be a one story house with an attic. I was nervous thinking I wouldn't get the job, but took a deep breath and nocked on the door. After nocking on their door all the dogs inside the house started barking. A few moments later an older women came outside and closed the door behind her, she had pale skin, brown eyes, black hair with some sliver in it. She came up to my neck and had to look up to see my face. "Oh well hello young man, what can I do for you today." she asked smiling sweetly. "Um... Well I was wondering if I could take the job of walking your dogs since I saw the help wanted poster, can I?" I asked nervously, looking hopeful. "Oh goodness yes. I have been waiting for some one to come and help for awhile now, but yes the job is yours." she spoke with happiness. "Thank you miss..." I asked trailing off. "My name is Yuki dear, and how about you walk the dogs every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5pm and to be back at 6pm. Does that sound ok to you dear?" the now named Yuki asked happily. "Of course, that sounds like a plan." I said before we both said goodbye.

After talking to Yuki I went to the flower shop to see if I could get work there as well. When I got there they were packed, so I went to one of the workers to ask where the owner was. They told me that he was behind the register working, so I went up to the register to ask for a part time job here. He was as tall as me with brown hair and deep blue eyes. "Um... Sir I wanted to know if I could work here part time?" I asked. All he did was look at me up and down, then said I could have the job if I was a good worker and to help around for an hour. He told me to call him Hoshi and gave me the uniform I was to ware. It was a long slived green shirt and long brown pants. After helping the other employees for the hour everything calmed down, I was called to talk to Hoshi about the job. "I have been keeping my eyes on you and had the others give me their opinions on you. And I can safely say that you are hired to work here, you will work on every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 4pm until 6:30pm. Does that sound good to you?" Hoshi asked me. To which I said that was perfect and he told me to keep the uniform, we then said goodbye and I left after changing into my clothes.
