Dear Dragon,

Dear Human,

Those long, scary teeth of yours,

Teeth to tear apart the bones,

And curled iron talons,

Talons catch the prey,

The towering spikes along your back-

Spikes to show my unyielding strength-

All a mystery

All a mystery

To me.

To scum that isn't me.

Those round, flaming nostrils,

Nostrils to smell and hunt,

And your scorching, fiery breath,

Fire to roast and barbeque,

The crescent tip of your long slick tail-

Crescent tip to smash down all in my way-

All a mystery

All a mystery

To me.

To scum that isn't me.

Those strong, huge legs of yours,

Strong Legs to jump and stomp,

And shining, black, glittering scales,

Scales like impenetrable armor,

The magnificent wings protruding from your great, ridged back-

And wings to fly-

All a mystery

All a mystery to scum that isn't me

To me.

And always it will be.

All a mystery

I'm tired of talking,

To me

My stomach's growling,

Unless you tell

Be careful next time you talk to a dragon.

Your secret well.

(Gulp, chomp, crunch)
