Just when I was feeling content to have had a Blade free day, here was the asshole strolling towards us. With each step I felt more sick in the stomach just watching him coming closer and closer. Blade's cronies were still arguing farther in the distance, and I had my suspicions about why they were at the park at this hour, they had to be up to something.
My eyebrows knitted in anger and my hands coiled into fists as Blade was closing the distance. I was tempted to march up to him and give him a piece of my mind but I stopped when I saw Emmett walk out to meet Blade. Blade cracked a sort of smile and my mouth almost hung open in shock.
Wait what's going on?!
My hands unfolded from the fists and I was too dumbfounded to speak or do anything other than watch the scene unfolding in front of me.
"Hey man 'sup?" Emmett greets.
"Sup Em, didn't think I'd find you here," Blade says.
"I said I'd be here didn't I,
Ryker around?"All of a sudden I felt invisible and alone in my mild shock. Who'd have thought they knew each other, worst of all, they'd be friends? Why was I shocked, of course they knew each other. That jerk knows everyone.
Emmett and Blade stood conversing and I was forgotten. My throat felt parched and I finally stopped gaping at the two and found my voice.
"You know this moron?!" I blurt out almost bitterly.
Their talking ceased at my outburst and they both turned and gazed at me. Both looked immensely confused, yet my eyes narrowed solely at Blade. It took him a few seconds to realize who I was, and once he did his confusion was replaced by a wicked grin.
"Ah, yes I know him," Blade replies mockingly, looking over at Emmett.
"Not you moron, the other moron!" I hiss at him prickly.
Both raised an eyebrow, and I slapped myself on the forehead with the palm of my hand.
"I mean if you know that moron," I add speaking to Emmett while pointing at Blade.
Blade cracked another grin and I shot daggers at him with my piercing glare. Emmett scratched his head before replying.
"Yeah, I know him Secret."
Emmett was oblivious to the unspoken threats Blade and I were throwing at each other. For a few seconds his eyes traveled back and forth from Blade (who was smirking and wearing a smug look on his face), to me (who was glaring at the dweeb as if I could just swoop down on him and start slapping him into oblivion).
Emmett scratched his head again and groaned deeply annoyed and stomped away from the both of them. I fell into a swing and just sat there clutching the chain links tightly until they were sure to leave marks in my palms. Both conversed softly and Emmett glanced over his shoulder and I wondered what filth the jerk was spreading. Twice I caught Blade's eyes flicker towards me and he wore his disturbing grin. Scoffing, I pulled my cellphone from my pocket and texted Ossey while gripping tightly to the swing as if my life depended on it. When Ossey didn't reply I looked back at the two. Emmett stood with one hand in his pocket and his other hand scratching his head idly while Blade had both hands tucked into the pocket of his jeans. Every few seconds Blade's eyes flickered to me and he smirked. There conversation seemed to have come to an abrupt end but instead of walking over towards me, Emmett headed the opposite direction to the other group of guys that were at the park. Blade hadn't moved and I watched him like a hawk. Blade approached the swing with a laid-back manner all while wearing an amused expression. My mind snarled and yelled for him to go away but my lips didn't part and no sound came. Even under the moonlight I could still see his deep green eyes as brightly as ever and his jet black hair with every strand perfectly in place.
