Cassie’s P.O.V.
I pulled up into my driveway exhausted for work. Fridays are always the worst, not to mention the mess Blaine had put me through. I had expected to go to work, have work distract me from my relationship problems, come home, hop in the tub with a bottle of wine and just relax. Well not today.
“What the hell are you doing here?” I turned off the ignition and stormed up to my front porch to see Blaine sitting on the steps. Once we were in touching distance, he got up without a word and pulled me into his arms. “Let me go, Blaine.” I was worn-out and I didn’t want to play his little game tonight. Instead of listening to me, he wanted to be a dick and squeeze me tighter, placing his head in the crook of my neck. Humph, figures.
After nearly five minutes of him practically suffocating me, Blaine let me go but kept hold of my hands as he looked into my eyes. “Cassie, I…I’m sorry.” We made eye contact and that’s when I noticed his eyes were a little red and puffy. I was too focused on why he was at my house after yesterday. “I have been a fool to not love you. You were willing to give me your heart and I hurt you. You’re so precious, like a delicate little angel. There aren’t enough words to describe how bad I feel. When you kicked me out of your house last night, I got to thinking. You aren’t like other girls. You are the type of girl that needs to be kept and treasured for the rest of your life. By someone who’s worthy of your love. Baby, please let that be me, let me be the one to be there for you physically, mentally, and emotionally. I promise that I will ALWAYS put you before myself. I finally found my missing piece, and you’re it. Please forgive me Cassie.” Tears fell out of his eyes. One after the other. He didn’t blink them away, he just kept on begging for my forgiveness.
It was like the ripple effect, his tears triggered mine. I heard and felt the love and sincerity in his voice and I knew that he was being truthful. “I love you, Cassie. I love you.” He pulled me back into his grasp and gently pressed his lips to mine.
“I love you too, Blaine. I think I always have.”
It finally happened. Blaine finally let me in. He surrendered and gave me his heart. Our relationship is no longer a game, but a connection of love everlasting.
We slowly broke apart looking at each with googley eyes and cheesy smiles. “I’m going to make you so happy, baby. I’m never going to let you down.”
“I’m already happy Blaine. No one can take it away.” I pulled him through the front door and dragged him in the house.
We crossed through the living room and I was so close to pulling him into the bedroom when he stopped me in my tracks. I turned around to ask what was wrong but covered my mouth in shock. “What are you doing? What is this?” I finally found my voice but it was choked on a whisper.
“I told you that you are my missing piece. I’m not going to be stupid and let you slide through my grasp again. Marry me, sweetheart. I love you and nothing will make me happier than calling you, the love of my life, my wife.” I stood there in silence and he must have gotten nervous because he started shaking me. “Babby, Cassie you in there?” My only response was to stick my hand in his face and watched his beautiful lips curve into a smile while he reached in his back pocket to pull out a small box and produced the most beautiful ring. It had a halo design and rested on a thin elegant band. Blaine slid the ring on my finger and came back up to kiss my tears of joy.
“Ah!” I finally came to my senses and wrapped my arms around his neck and legs around his waist. “I love you so much Blaine. I promise to be the best wife!”
He chuckled and started kissing down my neck. “Now it’s time to do your wifely duties and take care of me physically.” I laughed at his corny reasoning and kissed him on his gorgeous lips.
“Of course, baby. Lie down and let me take care of you.”

Four hours later, our limbs were entangled and I rested my head upon his naked chest. This time had been different. It was full of high sexual energy and a strong feeling of our souls intertwining as we made love.
“Is it always going to be like this?” I softly scratch the soft tuffs of hair on his chest, looking into his eyes lovingly. God I hope so.
“Yes baby. It will always be like this. Hell, it’ll get even better because our love will grow stronger and be never-ending. Get ready Cas, this is it. This is us.”
There’s no denying that I am totally ready for it, for our life together.
