"Kayla, did you see the guy that I was talking to! Omg I think he could be the one for me!” Ericka babbled on and on in my ear as I “listened” to her as she spoke. Honestly I could care less; she just stays with me so she can be popular. The only girl I need in my life would be Samantha Miller; we’ve known each other for a really long time. At first I didn’t like her because she thought she was better than everyone else, and also I was the new girl at the time. So, I decided to befriend her, I was going to bring her down and end up on top, but then things started to change and we became really close to one another. She is the ONLY one I can trust with EVERYTHING that goes on in my life. This girl is like a sister to me and she will always be.

“Seriously Ericka, you think every guy is “the one” would you give it a rest already you’re annoying me so go away,” I said in a harsh tone. Ericka just stopped walking and I kept on going. The school day had just ended and there was no way in hell was I going to miss a ride home with Sam. She’s been driving me to and from school lately because 1. I got kicked out of my adoptive parents’ house, 2. They took MY car away, and I paid it off with MY OWN MONEY, and 3. She is helping me look for a place of my own. “Hey girl,” I heard someone say from behind me. “Hey Sam,” I said and stopped so she could catch up. “You know, you could have handled Ericka a little better,” she said and I shrugged my shoulders. “The girl never stops talking, I mean really, she falls in love with EVERY guy and then gets dumped by them because she gives it up to them too quickly. I feel like she is more of a slut then I am and I never had sex yet,” I told Sam.

We started laughing, hooked our arms together and walked out of the school. “So where to today, it is a Friday and we have the whole weekend ahead of us plus its FINALLY spring break and we are going down to the beach house you rented us for the whole week!” Sam said eagerly. I giggled and spoke. “First, we must pack, and since I’ve been staying at your house because you family is amazing I’m done packing, you on the other hand are NOT, so we are going to your house first so you can pack.” Sam nodded her head and we already reached the car, so we hopped in and she took off.

When we got home, we took off running inside and up the stairs so Sam could pack. Sam unlocked the door to her room and started packing immediately, and I grabbed my suit case and took it to the car while she packed. Her parents weren’t home yet and they knew ahead of time that today we were leaving for Cancun Mexico for spring break, so they got us a limo and a driver for the whole week since we got really good grades, and were really well behaved too. “Omg, I seriously can’t wait till we land! It’s going to be amazing and hopefully beautiful!” Sam said while squealing. I couldn’t help it and began laughing at her. When we were all set, Sam drove us to the bank so I can take out money for us. My parents had passed away in a car accident when I was five and they were rich, and everything was left to me, and since I couldn’t own the mansion we lived in they sold it and I got even more money.

I think of them every day and what it would be like if they were still alive, then I sigh and walk away somewhat depressed but no one ever notices. Oh well, I thought to myself as I walked out of the bank, oh and did I mention that I owned some banks and my money is spread out throughout the world and I also own the airline place that we are going to now. My parents loved me very much but they also loved money too, as a result it made me hate money and spend it wisely. I ended up opening a bank for Sam and gave her one of the banks that I own, so she had some money too. As a result she paid off all of her mom’s debt, and bills and now they can spend their money any way they want to. It feels great being able to do that but it also feels lonely too, but I don’t think Sam has experienced it yet.

I sighed again and walked out of the building with a smile on my face, got into the car and Sam took off. We reached the airline place within fifteen minutes and started heading towards the private jet that I also had and that I also let Sam borrow from time to time. When she had the time she took it to Italy and got inspired so much there that she started her own fashion line. I invested in it and helped her a bit, it’s still small but it’ll be worth it later on.

We boarded the jet and it took off immediately, and I ended up falling asleep as soon as possible. Sam woke me up when we landed and our limo was there waiting for us. Sam and I squealed like little girls and ran to the limo. When we got in and all of our stuff was loaded we headed straight to the beach house. Once we got there Sam took a step out first and caught her breath. “It’s beautiful Kayla,” I smiled at her and  told the maids there to bring our belongings inside for us. “Let’s go get changed and we can go and play on the beach for a bit,” I told her and she nodded.

When I finished changing I was waiting for Sam out on the front porch. I was wearing shorts and a tank-top that was covering up the bathing suit I had on underneath it, and I also brought out two towels. The door opened and I looked up to see Sam standing there in pretty much the same outfit as me and we started laughing. “Ready?” I asked and she nodded. I tossed her a towel and we took off running towards the beach. We played in the water until it got too cold and too dark outside, so we lay underneath the stars talking. “Did you hear that?” Sam asked. I shook my head no, but this time I did hear a noise. We both jumped up and looked around. I grabbed my phone out of the bag we took with us and turned on the flash light. When I shinned it we were surrounded by a group of guys.

“Hey there cuties, want to party with us,” one of them said. I took Sam and put her behind me. “Fat chance I’d rather die before doing anything with scum bags like you, now let us go,” I said. Sam had started shaking because she saw the one guy holding a gun. “We’ll scream,” I said through a trembling voice. The guy smiled, “Go ahead I like a girl screaming, it gets me off,” he said. I shuddered and held Sam tighter.

“Let them go!” another person, not from the group shouted. We all turned our heads to see another group of guys standing there. “Ugh, let’s go boys, but this isn’t over cuties we will have you for ourselves,” the guy that spoke before spoke again, and chills ran up my spine as I felt Sam clinging tighter to my arm. The group of guys ran down here and we backed up. “Hey it’s going to be alright,” a guy with curly hair said. I don’t know why but I believed him. “The name is Styles, Harry Styles, and I’m in the band One Direction,” Harry said. My heart started pounding; this guy could not be serious. I heard Sam laughing from behind me and then she passed out. “SAM!” I shouted and caught her before she hit her head. “Can one of you help me get her inside please, I can’t carry her alone,” I asked. A guy with Brown hair came up and picked her up bridal style and said, “Lead the way.” I nodded and started walking them to the beach house.
