It was like any other day, people in their houses playing COD or watching the latest episode of Steven Universe but Ruby Patterson decided to take a walk for a few hours since she was tired of lazing around her shared house. Planning on going to the park or somewhere to keep her busy, the violet-haired girl decided to to walk around her neighborhood to see if there's anything to do, so she walked down her quiet street.
What she doesn't know that a boy her age was going down her street, skating her way. He saw her, clearly never seen her around the neighborhood. He was so focused on her that he didn't see a rock in his path, so his board tried to go over it but instead it stopped and made the poor boy fall to the ground. But as if the universe hated him, he fell right in front of the girl, making her stop in her track. He looked at her and the girl looked back at him like "what-just-happened?", smiling he got up, dusting himself off. "Hey, what's your name?" he asked the red-eyed girl, smiling at her, wanting to know her name.
Looking at him, Ruby was stund. She couldn't believe that the boy was fine after a wipeout like that! And on top off that, he had bunny ears! Her father did tell her that there was some people that had animal like features but she just never thought she would meet that, "Hey, what's your name?" she heard him asking her, with a smile on his face. She couldn't help but smile back at him, "I'm Ruby. What's yours?" "Buddy...Buddy Hopps" Buddy said smiling at her. "Are you new here? I've never seen you before."
Looking at the floor, Ruby replied "yeah, i'm new around here..." buddy looked at her, "oh..." he clearly didn't expect her to be new here. "Yeah..."
After a few moments of awkwardness, the bunny boy smiled at the girl, "Would you like me to show you around?" he asked holding out an arm for her; looking at his arm, a smile appeared on her light tanned skin, "I'd love that...." she smiled, taking his arm. Buddy grinned at her response, he quickly pulled her onto his long skateboard and started to skate down the street. Surprised by his sudden movement, the violet haired girl quickly wrap her arms around his waist just as they went down hill, blushing; when he skated off, he noticed they were going to go down hill and as they did, he felt ruby's arm going around his waist and felt himself blushing from that sudden action of her's.
Soon after they got down the hill, he stopped and got off his board, helping her off it as well. Walking to the restaurants, smiling, Buddy asked her, "Are you in the mood for ice cream?", Ruby smiled, "I'd like that."
Guiding her to an ice cream parlor, Buddy opened the door for Ruby. Giggling, Ruby entered the parlor, "Thank you, good sir," as she walked into the parlor, the bunny couldn't help but stare at her butt. The parlor gave out a nice, calming feeling; now entering the parlor himself, Buddy pulled out a chair for her to sit, "Here. sit down while i get the ice cream." Smiling, the girl sat down in the chair looking at him, "Ok."
Smiling back, the bunny left to get in line to buy their ice cream, after a couple of minutes the bunny came back with her favorite lucky guessed ice cream flavor. Giving the girl her ice cream cone, she looked at him, smiling. "How did you know that was my favorite?", he was surprised to find out and chuckled "Lucky guess?", ruby giggled as they ate their ice cream.
After they've finished, the bunny opened the door for her as they left the parlor, he blushed, knowing he had love at first sight, "W-Wanna go to the arcade?", she smiled "Of course!" As they got closer to the arcade, Ruby held his hand, the bunny stopped her, and pressed the girl against the wall.
He looked into her eyes, making Ruby looked into his eyes as well, he leaned in and kissed her. She couldn't help but kiss back. In a few moments, they pulled back panting and blushing from the kiss "Wanna go to the park instead?" Buddy smiled, holding her hand, "I would like that~", said Ruby gripping his hand tighter. He pulled her onto the skateboard as he rushed to the park, now knowing that they had something they didn't see all along.... More than a friendly love...
