Finding Cinderella

CHAPTER 1

LEIA P.O.V

"Leia!" Jason called."Are you done?"

I ran out of the house. I was dressed in my jeans, a t-shirt, and sneakers. My dark brown hair was pulled into a messy bun while my hands were holding two apples. I tossed one to Jason. He caught it.

"Nice catch." I said,impressive.

"Impressive throw." He smirked.

"Oh shut up!"

Jason Knight was my best friend since first grade. He aws the flirty boy-next-door. His warm brown eyes won almost every girl in school over. He was a flirt seriously.

"Hey, don't be offended." He said

"You suck." I snapped

"So do you"

"Idiot !"

"Piglet !"

I rolled my eyes. He gave me this stupid nickname when we were third grade. I was Piglet while he was Pooh bear. In my opinion, this made no sence because he was either short ot fat.

He put his arm around me. I put my arm around him. We walked to school together , as always. Most peoplw found thus weird, the hottest guy in school was best friends with the girl who was afraid to speak up. It bothered me, but Jason told me not to mind them. They were just people, they couldn't bring me down.

"So...." He started

"What ?"

"Prom is coming."

"So...?"

"Do you have a date?"

That was a touchy  subject. My parents were strict, literally. They don't like boys, except Jason of course. It would be hard for me to get a date with parents like them.

"No." I finally said.

"You want one ?"

I looked at him. This was a secret, but I had a huge crush on Jason since fourth grade. We became so close, I started falling for him. Was he about to ask me to our junior prom?

"Uh--"

"Come on !" Jason pressured. "I'll ask Chase or Evan or Peter to ask you out."

That just broke my heart. He was just gonna have one of his friends ask me out. He didn't want to ask me out. Of course he didn't, I was his best friend.

"I don't want to go." I mumbled

"Why not ?"

"I'm not interested."

"Come on Lei !"

"No way>" I decided I didn't wanna go with any of his idiotic friends.

"Okay." He muttered 

"Who are you goimg with ?" I asked

"I dunno." He said. "I have to pick between Sophi Roberts and Alicia Smith."

I smirked. Of course Jason would go for the clown-faced ones. That's what flirts do.

"The clowns ?" I said, laughing

Jason smiled. "You are jerk."

"Thanks, idiot."

"You suck."

"That's why you love you me." He said, running away to the school

He went towards his friends. I smiled. I always enjoyed seeing Jason happy. For some reason, it would make me happy too.

"That's why I love you." I muttered and went to my friends.
