That surprise visit by Frida was one of the surprise visits she did for the next five years. We chat on the phone. Our communication never stopped after that. She might be busy with Björn in touring, but she never failed to call me.
Meanwhile, I was busy being the best mom to both my kids. Then I found out that I would be a granny soon. I was stunned. Here's the thing: my daughter had rebellious days. It was somewhat the cause. But the guy is nice. I didn't worry about that. They're still together. At least she learned her lesson.
Let's go back. It took a while for Frida and I to be seen in public again. Well, it was the four of us in public although we went there separately. It was for the Swedish production of Mamma Mia! the musical.
I was honestly reluctant to show up again. Someone came back. That obsessive and possessive creature came back for me. His ban from the state expired. I was scared again. But I tried my best to feel safe with sufficient security and friends.
Frida came first, I think. I couldn't quite remember the exact details. After looking at the bright lights and flashes by the entrance, I went inside the theater in search for the washroom. When I saw the door, I excused myself from the crowd to the washroom.
After entering, I never heard the door closing. Instead, I heard the sound of heels on the floor. The sound had a fast beat. She was running.
I was scared to look back. It might be that person gatecrashing to get into me. Then there were arms wrapped around my waist. I froze. I was relieved there was no one in the washroom.
I could feel that person's breath on my neck. My heart was beating rapidly, but I was calmed as this person spoke. "Hey. It has been a while, babe. I missed you."
That was a calming voice indeed. It was from a woman. Her voice was still the same, sexy but sweet. I slowly turned my back to her.
She changed. Her hair almost had the same color as mine, but it was still short. I felt her furry coat on my body. I touched her hair that were a spiky. She looked like a rock star for me.
I smiled back at her while I tried to remove her arms from me. "Oh Frida, you know that they might see us. But I don't care right now, because I've missed you too." Then I looked away, downward to the floor.
She lifted my chin. "Is there something wrong? I'm sorry it took so long for me to come back."
I wanted to face my returning problem on my own, but I was not strong enough. I still needed her. "Frida, I have to tell you something." I paused then bit my lip. I was shaking. But it's Frida, what could possibly go wrong? "He's back, Frida. I feel unsafe again. I need help. I don't know what to do. I..."
In a blink of an eye, she pulled me towards her. Her hug was tighter. She rubbed my back. "Remember me. I'll try my best to keep him out of your life, your head. Yeah?" She kissed my forehead.
"Please tell me that you love me, so that I'll feel safe."
She chuckled. "Call me when he haunts you. I'll tell you those words, love." She put some of my hair behind my ear. "I love you, and will try my best to eliminate this guy. I won't kill him, don't worry. I'll play nice. Just don't do anything stupid like that, okay? Knowing that you're safe relieves me."
"Thanks Frida. By the way, do you have plans after this? I mean..." I slowly removed my hand from her, and touched my right ear.
"I will fly home after this." She flipped her hair, then looked behind for the door.
"Aren't you already home?"
"I'm not yet finished." She looked back at me. "I will fly home to where you are. I can stay with you for the night. Do you still have it on?" She teased me with those eyes. They blinked slowly.
