(The Next Day)

“You guys ready?” We nod and the camera is switched on. I can't believe I actually agreed to be in Markiplier's video. But how could I have said ‘no’ to those beautiful blue eyes of Tyler's?

“Hello everybody, my name is Markiplier and welcome to Improv with Friends,” the short brunette starts.

“Are we really calling it that?” Ethan asks with a laugh.

“Its my channel, blue boi! And I'll call this video what I want!” Mark throws a small tantrum, then continues the introduction. “I have with me today Tyler, Ethan, Amy, and our new friend, (Y/N). Come say hi.”

I shuffle awkwardly into the camera’s view and give a little wave. Everyone giggles a little. ‘This is an odd kind of comfortable, and not as terrifying as I’d expected,’ I think.

“Kathryn isn't participating ‘cuz she’s a chicken,” Mark states with a childish smile as Kathryn shakes her head at him from behind the camera. “Anyways, today we’re doing Improv with Friends or Change #2. Whatever you wanna call it. Same rules apply as in Change: two people are given a prompt to act out, if we don't like where it's going, we can shout CHANGE! and they have to say something different. If you're wondering where we are, this is our living room because the office had a power outage. BUT THAT'S NOT GONNA STOP US FROM DOING SOMETHING STUPID!”

We begin. First Mark and Ethan go up, the rest of us sitting on the couch, and the two Youtubers are given the roles of a passenger on a plane and a flight attendant. After 30 seconds, Amy shouts at Mark ‘Change!’ and it leads the story in a strange direction. Next up was Amy and I, and I think I handled it pretty well despite my nervous laughing a couple times. Amy and I had about the same amount of experience with improv, and that wasn't much, but she did better. It continued on: switching groups, funny lines, creative prompts, laughing our asses off. We went for about two hours until Amy and Kathryn had to leave to attend a friend’s bachelorette party. They invited me, but I politely declined and decided to help the boys finish up the video with a couple more rounds.

“Alright, Tyler and (Y/N), you're up,” Mark announces. “Tyler, you're a secretary at a big company and need to ask your boss for a raise. (Y/N) you're his ruthless boss. Go!”

Tyler lowers his shoulders and head to look smaller and pushes his glasses to the end of his nose. ‘Ugh, what an adorable nerd,’ I think to myself. I try standing taller and push out my chest and fold my arms.

“E-Excuse me, Ms. Johnson,” Tyler says with a feigned stutter, throwing out a random name.

“Yes, yes, what do you want, Secretary?” I demand. I shift my weight onto one leg.

“I was hoping for a raise, ma’am. You’ve only been paying me 3 cents an hour.” He holds out an imaginary check. I look down at it.

“What? 3 cents ain't good enough for ya?” Somehow I manage a New York accent and raise my voice. “When I started this business, I had nothin’! And look at me now!”

“I see, but I need more money to pay for my 12 cats.”

“Change!” Mark shouts, semi-pleased with the scene so far.

“But I need more money to pay for my plastic surgery.”

I give him a look of suspicion and say, “Alright, I'll start payin ya’ 4 cents an hour!”

Ethan cracks up. I'm getting pretty good at this. Tyler takes a step toward me and falls to his knees.

“Please, Ms. Johnson! I’m desperate! I spend too much money on makeup! If I don't, I’ll have to wear a bag over my head!” I nearly laugh at how ridiculous that sounds.
