(Stephen James as Jax Axton)As most stories do, mine also starts in High School. My first day actually.
Walking into the fairly big school I didn't pick my head up. I mean I'm a 17-year-old, pretty chubby girl. And no, not pretty and chubby, just pretty chubby. There were so many people walking and talking around me. I was overwhelmed and when that happens I become a little bit shy. Most of the time I'm sassy af.
I wanted to ask someone where the office was but I'm too shy to do so. You have no idea how relieved I was when a red headed petite girl stopped right in front of me, making me stop as well.
"Hi. You look kind of lost. Are you new?"
"Yes, I just moved here. I was actually searching for someone. I'm looking for the front desk to get my schedule."
She smiled and I swear her eyes twinkled. "Of course! It's just you take a right, walk then left then right and right and lastly, you take a left again and walk straight to the end of the hall."
Okay I didn't get like any of that. But what the hell. I started walking in the direction she sent me in. It's only the first day and I wouldn't mind missing a few minutes. I might just go outside and smoke for the hell of it. Wait...I am a nerd and a goody too shoe, so I would never ditch class. That last statement was a lie. I was always an extrovert. An extrovert with a few introvert moments. Still I didn't want to get detention on my first day.
Realizing that I only had a few minutes before the class began I started power walking, not running because I look weird running. Have you ever seen a hippo running a marathon? No? Well, there is a reason.
I stopped when I walked into someone's chest. It was hard. It hurt. I fell back and my butt started hurting. The person didn't even make an attempt to reach out and help me with my notebook that was spilled all over the floor.
When the pain eased down a little bit, I opened my eyes in slow motion. What I saw was not what I was expecting. What I was expecting was a concerned fellow student but what I saw was... a man who looked seriously pissed. His green eyes stared at me so cold and slowly he started glaring at me. It was almost like he was waiting for something. Oh, and did I mention that he was almost completely covered in tattoos from head to toe?!
"And..." The stranger started. I was taken aback a bit so I answered with a "What?"
"And aren't you going to apologize for not looking where the fuck you were going? Be careful next time, bitch."
You see I'm actually never shy. You would think that since I am overweight, I must have been bullied but in reality no. In my old school, I had awesome and supportive friends. They were all such goofballs. So because I had seen what normal people behaved like I hated it when someone thought of themselves as better than everybody else. I mean who the fuck do you think you are?! So as a reflex I answered:
"Only when you apologize for being such a dick about it." The guy was taken aback a bit. Guess he wasn't expecting the chubby girl to talk back. I started smirking and like a creep, he started smirking as well.
"Ohhh, you are so going to regret ever walking into me. Have you got any idea who the hell I am? I am Jax fucking Axton."
"Oh shit! Two X's in your name? Your parents must have hated you, dude. I mean seriously Jax Axton. How much did you get bullied in middle school? I'm guessing like a lot."
"Not as much as you did, apparently. And just a friendly reminder, I assume you're new because if you knew who I was you would watch out what came out of your mouth next."
"Well, the only thing coming out of your mouth is someone else's dick, so why does it bother you that much what comes out of mine?" I asked, tilting my head a little. Hahaha, nice one. I commented mentally.
He looked stunned and standing up I noticed that EVERYONE was looking at us. Ups!
"Ohhh you're so dead!" A guy next to Jax commented. He looked nice enough with his amazing green eyes and beard. Not nearly as many tattoos as Jax though. "I'm Axel."
"Another X? Seriously?" I mean how much did their parents hate them?
"Yeah, and who might you be, feisty lady?"
Ohhh, feisty lady. I liked that. Not going to let him know but still, it was cool.
"I'm Thea and as your psychologically challenged friend has guessed right, I'm new here."
"Oh really? What made you move into our little town, Miss Thea?"
"Well you see I have a radar that shows me where all the douche bags are and your friend over here was like the sun on it, so I figured I should see the biggest ass on earth for myself."
Axel started full on laughing holding his torso he leaned over.
"Humor! I like you! You are the baddest bitch I have EVER met."
As soon as he was finished with his sentence, the bell rang. I had just picked up the last of my papers when Jax walked right past me bumping into me HARD. It made me fall and drop my stuff on the floor again.
Jax just kept walking not even when I screamed "ASSHOLE" at him. Although Axel picked my stuff off the floor. "Don't mind him. He usually has a stick up his ass."
"You're right about that" I whispered more to myself than to Axel.
"Come on. You're also a senior, right?"
"Yeah, how did you know?"
"Lucky guess and you look like you have good grades which means that you're in the AP classes. You should have AP English first period I'll walk you."
"Wait I haven't picked up my schedule yet. I'm not sure whether I have English first period or not."
Axel looked at me and raised an eyebrow. "Do you really care?" He questioned. Starting to walk.
"Good point," I said while jogging to catch up. He was 6'1. Just as long as Jax. He had long ass legs is what I mean. He took one step I had to take three to catch up. I was a 5'3 chubby girl none the less. "Keep up feisty Lady."
And so did my first day of my senior year start.
