Scarlet's POV

We went to school after the incident and we kind of ignored each other. I couldn't believe that I blamed him like that. I also didn't realize that Jessica was not here today. Ryder would see me in the halls and we would smile a pained smile and then walk away. Awkward situations were the worst.

It was 3:00. I was sitting at home reading a book right now. It was Gone with the Wind and we were supposed to be reading it for a literature project for school. I actually loved it. I could loose track of time just reading a simple book.

There was a knock at my door.

Ryder's POV (play song)

I knocked on her door. I was excited and really nervous. I had gotten a perfect plan for how she would be happy. Hopefully.

She opened the door with only a tank top and a pair of PINK shorts on, but she still looked good. Before staring too long, I cleared my throat. I looked up at her and her eyes were as beautiful as ever. She smiled and cocked her head to the side a little.

"Oh, umm... I was going to come over to ask you something," I smiled awkwardly.

"Of course, come in," she waved her hand towards the living room.

"Are you thirsty or hungry?" She asked on the way to the kitchen.

"N-No I am good," I stuttered nervously. What was wrong with me?

"Ryder, why are you so nervous?" She came over to me and put her hand to my cheek. I almost kissed her right then.

"Uhh... homework," I lied. I didn't do my homework.

"You don't do your homework" she laughed while sitting down.

I shoved my hands into my pockets and took a deep breath.

"I was going to ask... if... i-if..." I couldn't speak. Something was holding my tongue. I was never this nervous. I probably looked so weird just standing in front of her contemplating on asked her ou-

"Ryder," I was snapped out of my trance.

"Will you go on a date with me tonight?" I asked. I ran my hands through my hair.

Scarlet's POV

"Will you go on a date with me tonight?" He asked. He ran his hands through his hair. This is what he was nervous about. I smiled and almost started crying. I had never been on a date before.

I flung into his arms. My arms were wrapped around his neck. I showered his face with kisses.

"Well, you better get ready if you want to get there early," he joked.

"Oh yeah!" I laughed.

"I'll see you when I get back, how does 6:00 sound?"

"Perfect," I squealed.

"See you later Scar" he scrunched his face up.

"Bye, Ryder" he shut the door and I was doing cartwheels! I am going on a date!
