I ran threw the dark alley looking down at my phone, rewinding the text message in my head that the stranger gave to me. "Your Mother.." What does that mean? Is she ok? Why is he texting me? I started to freak out and hyperventilate.

"Ruby!" I heard Scott scream from behind me. I didn't look back, I just quickened my pace. Graffiti hung on the walls like tattoos, all different colors, all different meanings. I shivered as one graffiti was of a man in a suit, top hat, and red bow tie. It was the waiter. Its following me every where? Even on the walls he stalked me. I shrugged it off and kept pacing.

I felt a hand on my shoulder, screamed, and twisted around. It was Scott, sweating and red as an apple.

"Ruby, what's going on with you?" He practically yelled into my ear.

" Shut up! " I shouted and started to tear up.

"What's going on?" He said more quietly and started talking to me like a baby, balling her eyes out. I pulled out my phone and showed him the text conversation that me and the stranger had. His eyes went flaming and nodded towards a street sign behind me that said " 5th Avenue. "

I dropped my phone on the concrete and felt glass shards on my legs. I ran towards the street sign and looked down the filthy avenue. I saw police tape covering a corner, yet I could not see what it was. I needed to get a better view, quickly.

Scott was behind me (I could feel him breathing down my neck, it was awkward) and watching my every movement. I ran up to one of the cops around the area.

"Where's my mother!?" I screamed at her.

"Ma'am I need you to calm down." The cop said in a gentle voice, but I could tell something was wrong.

" I cant! One of your cop friends decided to text me saying that my mother... Well I don't know! " I said as I held up my phone for her to see the messages. Her eyes went wide and looked at me with pain.

"This is not one of our cops... Or any one that I know of." She said as she munched on a donut.

"It has to be!" I yelled.

"Sorry ma'am." She walked away towards the crime seen. Really? did she just do that? Oh she will regret that, I ran after her, but stopped immediately in my tracks.. I saw blood foot prints all along the concrete.

"W- W- what?" I stuttered as I stated in disbelief . Blood? Blood...

"Its going to be ok.." Scott said behind me. There was blood on the floor. . What has happened? I walked closer, but stuttering more when I see more.. Blood. Puddles all over, blood. Stale crusty blood. It's been here for awhile. I shivered as wind passed by me.

I finally got to the cops tape.. And found two shattered cars. Glass was everywhere and aluminum was scattered across the floor. I found more blood, more than I have ever seen, a pond and in the middle was.. Mum?

"M-Mum?" I stuttered barely hearing the words that came out. Is that her, on the ground, in a pond of blood? I picked up her lifeless hand. Is she dead? Her blood red hair had become much more thicker.. With blood.
I felt the urge to lunge for someone at that exact moment. I pulled out of my pocket.. A knife. I was so uncontrollably crazy with revenge of.. Who did this to her?

"Ruby.." Scott wispered as I put the knife on the ground.

" Who did this? " I spat out and stared at him. I could see that he was "heart broken" for me, but I felt that he just needed to go home. Before he could answer I heard heavy footsteps inching my way towards me, I turned around to find a large man with brown hair, and dark green eyes. They were flaming with anger, just like the day in the lunch room.
