"There's flour under your eye." he said carefully swiping his thumb under my eye.
My heart was incessantly loud.
Why, why, WHY?
I got my hopes up and then it crashed.
"Hey, but there's also something right there-" he said cutting my thoughts off with a kiss.
I was taken back.
I slowly kissed him back.
His lips were soft and warm.
Like cotton candy.
He sped up and so did I.
This felt like nothing compared to what I read on Wattpad.
He slipped his tongue into my mouth and we fought for dominance.
I subconsciously pulled away.
He looked disappointed.
"G-Grayson, I know you don't li-"
He interrupted me.
"Hey, um, Amaryllis, I'm just gonna go home. My mom's probably waiting anyways."
He didn't make eye contact with me.
"Wai-wait...Gray-"
the door closed softly.
I walked upstairs with everything still disoriented downstairs.
I crawled in my bed and looked outside and the gray clouds.
School started in 30 minutes, so I might as well go in an hour.
My parents are never home and send money for the rent.
I would skip school for 3 weeks straight and have Grayson or my closest friend Amari drag me to school.
The kiss stil lingered on my lips, almost like he kept doing it.
Why'd he ever want to make any physical contact with a girl like me.
I'm the human form of disgusting.
I pondered through the empty house in my underwear and looked outside at the falling snow.
I remembered the growing orange tree in me and Grayson's private spot in an abandoned but pretty park.
All these memories hurt my heart.
But they'll fade soon.
