Balto wasn't happy with Kodi's decision overall and couldn't come to terms that his own son was gay.

"Why Kodi, it could have been anyone else but it was Kodi." Balto had said in a quiet voice.

He wished that Kodi would have liked girls and have a beautiful mate which in his opinion was Dusty. She was perfect for him and they knew each other very well. But either way he was open with him about it so Balto wasn't so angry, he just needed to tell his mother and the rest of the siblings. But Balto thought about it for a second and relized what would happened if he told the dogs of Nome he gay.

"Kodi can we talk real quick before we greet Aleu?"

Kodi nodded his hand and walked towards his father. Kodi was unsure about what his dad needed to talk about but he hoped it wasn't going to be anything bad especially about his homosexsuality.

"Umm Kodi you shouldn't go on telling everyone you're gay except to the people close to you because if the other dogs find out, they will terrorize you and the family and even your mate."

Kodi could understand why his father would say that he thought his dad was going to say something postive. But what could he except his dad was always about negativity and never positivity.

"How would you know, you can understand what it's like to be diffrent!"

Balto however knew Kodi was completely wrong and had seen to know being diffrent was hell.

"Before the serum run I was always teased, harassed, and kicked around because I was half wolf and half dog!"
