Father's Aproval

Kodi woke up and looked around but only to hear Kirby snoring as he was sleeping. He was the first one up and looked at Ralph and Dusty who were still sleeping.

"Kirby wake up we are off today from running!"

Kirby opened his eyes and saw Kodi on top of him with his tounge out. He couldn't stop staring at him afterwards.

"Okay,Okay, let's go but where Kodi?"

"We can go over Dingos house please he knows about my homosexsuality because I trust him I bet he would not say anything about us dating if we tell him."

Kirby knew Dingo was his brother and was highly respected in the town. Dingo was one of the closest dogs in Kodi's life and was also trustworthy.

"Are you sure he won't tell anyone about us?"

Kodi nodded and they left going to his house. They tried not to look like a couple in public but as friends and not lovers. Kodi now faced the doggy door of Dingos house and took a deep breath before going in. He saw Dingo in the middle of the living room sleeping like always.

"Dingo hey its me Kodi, wake up, I'm bored please."

Dingo took one look at Kodi and knew he couldn't reject his brothers cute face. He got up and like always greeted him by kissing him something Kirby didn't expect. He knew the brothers were close but not that close.

"Dingo can I tell you something before we have fun?"

"What is it Kodi?"

"Kirby and I are dating for a while now I just wanted you to know that."

Dingo looked so happy for Kodi and hugged him and started to cry a little.

"Kirby can we talk outside real quick and Kodi stay here until I say so."

Kirby followed Dingo outside unaware what will happen.

"Let me be clear here Kirby don't break Kodi's heart and don't cheat on him or else I will make your life a living hell you got that!"

Kirby was suprised how overprotective Dingo was for Kodi.

"I won't it's okay I'll make him happy I promise!'

"Okay let's call Kodi back, Kodi!"

He came out happily walking like there was no tommrow.

"Okay let's go to dad's ship I gotta tell him about us Kirby I mean after all he is my father and he thinks I like Dusty."

Kirby agreed with him and the 3 dogs left to go see the towns savior Balto. Kirby wasn't sure to be either excited or nervous after all he was shaking.

"Okay were here c'mon let's say hi to dad!"

"Okay Kodi I'm right behind you and you gotta tell dad!"

Kodi ran up and pounced on his dad licking his face and saying "hi dad I miss you" and  "I haven't seen you in so long!"

"Aww thanks Kodi can I get up now?"

Kodi got off of him and at the same time Dingo greeted his dad formally along with Kirby who was honored to meet him.

"Dad I came here to tell you something, I'm dating a dog who I need your approval from."

"Alright Kodi who is the lucky her?"

He was now scared to tell him that Kirby was his boyfriend but couldnt have just lied.

"It's not a her it's a he and that he is Kirby he is my boyfriend."

Balto thought this was a prank there was no way Kodi was a fag or a queer! 

"Stop joking around Kodi I know you but I know ain't some guys bitch."

That hurt Kodi knowing that's what his dad thought of him and Kirby.

"No dad I'm in love with Kodi that means I'm gay I just wanted to see if you approve of this!"

Balto was angry because of Kodi being In love with another male dog.
He loved Kodi nut he had to change him the dogs would make fun of him for being part wolf and being a homosexsual!

"What wrong with you Kodi you shouldn't be like this I'm and to hell about approving your relationship with Kirby!"

"Okay well fuck you I bet u never even cared about me either way only if I was in love with a female dog!"

Dingo and Kirby tried not to get into the argument but knew it had to come to an end.

"Kodi don't curse at dad let's just go back to my house and talk over there."

"No Dingo I have to face this I don't care what he says but I want him to care about me like he was for everyone else."

Balto decided not take his anger on his son but on brown dog.

"Hey you fag did you have anything to do with Kodi liking males becasue I know it was probably on you who made him become a queer you little ____!" He mumbled the last part(I don't like cursing).

Kirby decided he couldn't hang back and watch all of this unfold and had to say something back at Balto.

"Hey Balto your gonna diss me be ca use your in denial and I thought you were a legend but not anymore!"

"Shut the hell up my son is like this because of you and now he had deal with you!"

Kodi had enough of his father pointing fingers at Kirby and hating Kodi becoming like this. He had to help Kirby and decided that this  was between him and his dad.

"Kirby go home."

"What!?" Kirby was suprised at what he said.

"I said go home NOW!"

Kirby looked at him and ran out the boat without looking back.

"You too Dingo"

Dingo obidently left without a trace.

"Dad this is between you and me no one else okay."

Balto was suprised that he was calm and had decided he would speak formally.

"Your right Kodi and also I think I hope I can change by maybe accepting you and Kirby I guess?"

Kodi was nevermore happy with his dad.

"Thanks dad can we go eat I'm hungry I didn't eat breakfast yet!"

Seeing his son smile made Balto feel that he has done a good job being a father. But before he could say anything he had heard Aleu howling in the forest.

"Oh by the way Aleu will be spending time here away from her clan."
