Uh oh. That's the first thing I thought when saw the pixels wouldn't stop at my house. They were already going on the road my best girl friends house was... "Sabrina!" I yelled in panic. If anything happened to her, I would blame myself. Then, a wave of pixels met mine, and another. *Where are those coming from?* I thought as they collided. I realized the direction they were coming from, just as people were disappearing. Hang on, why aren't I disappearing? Then, something hit me. If I wasn't going away, maybe my other friends are safe. An evil, throaty laugh filled the air. The sound of bones clinking made me shudder. I ran to Sabrina's house as fast as possible.

I ran, the wind streaming through my blond hair. My dark blue eyes got watery as I tried to get to Sabrina's house. My golden skin shone in the spring light, beginning to sweat, and I realized it was a week until my thirteenth birthday. This'll be a great birthday week, won't it? I pictured Sabrina's hair, red and shining in the sun. Anger towards anything that would even touch her pale skin made me run faster, my blood pumping hard. I wouldn't let her get hurt, ever.
