"What do we got?" the doctor asked walking alongside the gurneys being brought in.

"Car accident, two kids, age thirteen and nine. Thirteen year old has a bad head injury, glass sticking out of his head, possible broken arm and twisted ankle, definite leg break, and possibly a dislocated shoulder. Nine year old has a bad bump to the head. Driver, head injury and possible sprained wrist, refused treatment, he's in the waiting room. Drunk driver, not a scratch on him." the nurse informed him.

"Send the little girl down to X-Ray, make sure she has no internal injuries. Same for the boy, afterwards take him down to the operating room. As for the drunk driver, contact the police. We can't do anything about the driver since he refused treatment. Did they come in with anything?"

"There were suitcases in the cab."

"Alright, go through them. I need a name and a number to call." he ordered. The nurse went off to do what she was told.

Anne and Alph were practically running through the doors of the hospital. After Dr. Richard told Nurse Millard to go through their suitcases, she found a piece of paper with a number scribbled on it in the midst of all the clothing. When Alph answered the phone and was told about the car accident, he rushed to tell Anne, who then woke up Dec and dropped him off at their neighbor's house. They were breathless by the time they reached the receptionist in the Emergency Room.

"Can I help you?" The woman asked from behind the counter. Her eyebrows furrowed in uncertainty as she tried to understand Anne and Alph's frazzled appearances.

"Can you tell us where we can find Sarha and-," Alph was interrupted by the receptionist.

"Sarha and Anthony McPartlin? From that car accident?" the receptionist asked.

"Yes." Alph answered with confusion.

"Their doctor is right here actually. It'd probably be good to talk to him," The receptionist said. Anne and Alph nodded. Their hearts were beating fast as they only became more panicked the longer they stood there. "Doctor Arnold?" The receptionist called.

A man wearing a white lab coat looked up from his work further down the counter. When he caught sight of Anne and Alph he approached them.

"These two are here to see Anthony and Sarha." The receptionist explained, as the doctor came within hearing range.

"They're our children." Anne explained.

"Hello, I'm Doctor Richard. I'm looking after the Emergency Room tonight-," The doctor began, but he was abruptly cut off.

"What happened to them?" Anne blurted out. She couldn't take it any longer, she needed to know if they were okay. She needed to know if she was ever going to see them again.

"Well, Sarha suffered a concussion and a fractured wrist, after hitting her head and crashing against the car window. She was unconscious for a while, but she was awake when I last saw her. We'll have to keep her here for a few days to make sure she's okay. She seems fine; all I can see is the cut on her scalp. But we need to keep an eye on her since a concussion such as hers can cause other brain injuries. We already sent her for a CT scan and she has no internal bleeding or injuries." Doctor Richard explained.

"A-and Ant?" Anne asked. She was relieved Sarha was fine but she trembling uncontrollably as she thought about Ant. Was he okay as well? Alph kept his arm around her, rubbing her shoulder comfortingly.

"I'm afraid Anthony's condition was a little more severe. From what I understood, the car crashed into his side. He had pieces of glass sticking out of his head which we removed, although his head injury was a lot more serious than Sarha's. There was minimal amount of blood in his brain. We had to take him into surgery to suction it out and repair the damage. He also suffered a dislocated shoulder, a broken arm, a twisted ankle, and a broken leg. We had to perform surgery on that also. His tibia and fibula were fractured and one of the bones actually came through the skin. We had to put a few screws in to hold his bones back in place. That combined with one or two broken ribs and the concussion means that we'll have to keep him at least a week. Especially because he runs the risk of contracting a deep-bone infection." Doctor Richard explained.

Anne and Alph just stood there, shocked to their core. Ant was really injured.

"Can we see them?" Alph asked as if he were reading Anne's mind.

"Anthony just came out of surgery, but if you visit Sarha first it'll give him time to wake up." Doctor Richard offered.

"Thank you doctor." Alph said sincerely as he shook the man's hand.

Sarha opened her eyes to see her parents in the room. Anne sat on the edge of the bed, beside, her, holding her uninjured hand. Alph stood beside Anne.

"How do you feel, honey?"

"My head hurts." she paused. "And my arm itches." she added as an after thought.

"I'm so glad you're okay." Anne said while crying, pulling Sarha into a tight hug. She pulled away after a few moments. "What happened?"

"I don't know." she shrugged. "We left Kathleen's place and walked for a long time before spotting a payphone. Ant called a taxi, we got in, talked a little, we fell asleep, and next thing I know I'm waking up to a man shining a light in my eye."

"You were in a car accident." Anne said, then paused. "Wait a minute. Who's Kathleen?"

"The woman we were staying with. She lied, she wasn't our aunt. Ant told me she admitted she was doing this for money."

"Sarha, sweetie, do you know the address of the place you were staying at?" Anne asked calmy.

"No, but I do know it was up North."

"Do you know her last name?"

"Taylor." Alph hurried and left the room, walking into the hallway. He had to call the police and Ms. Chesterfield to let them know they had something. Meanwhile back in the room, Sarha was sat in Anne's lap.

"Is Ant okay?" she asked sleepily. The medicine was beginning to kick in.

"He's really hurt, sweetheart."

"Can I see him?"

"When you wake up I'll ask the nurse and see what she says. Okay?" Sarha nodded.

"Is he going to be okay?"

"He will be. Soon." she promised. "Go to sleep." Sarha nodded and soon drifted off.
