There I stood

In a place all too common to my eyes as I stood there with my Traveler eyes. A battlefield of many dead warriors of two different nations. "Why is this a mistake that is repeated over and over again in every universe I go to?" I ask myself since it always seems at one point humans fight each other to massive losses, or in other words. A World War. "Is it because of nationalism? Thinking they are stronger than they are? Something that will always happen in every human race in every universe?!" I said as I went from muttering to yelling at the world.

"Calm down Keaton," Natalie said behind me.  "It is not worth getting upset about." "But I must know why this always happen at least once in every universe where there is a human race." "Even then, we can't stop these wars unless whatever higher power that controls us Travelers wants us to." "I know, but it would bring an ageless question to an end with an answer. Making on of billions of questions I have to will disappear." I said, still staring out onto the battlefield with the birds and other creatures of this world coming to eat the dead bodies. "I know but maybe it's just one of those things nobody will ever get an answer to until sometime like the afterlife."  She said. "Most likely Natalie, most likely. But even then, it will stay on my mind to little to no end when my mind isn't busy with other things." "Why are we even here for anyway since we aren't here to do anything about the war that happened. And we seem to be doing nothing about helping them rebuild and everything else." "Most likely that "higher power" is just letting us have a few moments to reflect on what has happened, or to foreshadow a possible future life or lives we'll have. For it is fond of foreshadowing our futures as Travelers, Natalie." Which she replied with nothing. So we set out to see the aftermath of this war elsewhere.

Letting us to many destroyed, lost, abandoned cities from both sides. Too often were the dead in these cities were people who were citizens, people who couldn't fight back, some who died at the first opening round of fire, others from when the attackers won, spoiling themselves to the people here, young and old. Many other horrible things as well, giving us a feeling that maybe. Just maybe these humans are nothing but monsters, at least their military is that is.

Then we found one of the two nations on this planet. It wasn't hard to tell they lived and breed in cruelty, war, death, and more. Enough to make us wonder, are they really a super power or a nation that is thought to be united and a super power when it is just a bunch of tribes killing each other. We may never know since we left almost as soon as we came.

The other nation, on the other hand, was more of a kind people but there still some cruelty and death, most likely from how much they have lost in the war could be the reason for this. But it was quite clear to us that these people lost that war with the other nation. Due to the fact we came up with that, these people are peace lovers and not warriors. While the other nation has no love for peace, only hatred. Leading to a strong military, and a dangerous life as well.

After some hours have pass Natalie came to me. "Are you sure this was the best choice?" She asks. "They were evil, Natalie. They were an illness to be burnt to cure it." I replied. "But what about the good people that were in those cities...?" "I teleported them to other nations so they are safe and will carry on the tale of what has happened." "But how could you kill them without remorse or something...?" "Because I have done it too many times, enough that I can perfectly hide my feelings of killing people no matter who they are. But even then, they were an evil that could only be destroyed and nothing else." I said before disappearing into the Void, a place a Traveler goes before going into their next life. For I done when I was suppose to do, even if I hate it.
