-Sepphine-

"Sepphine, wake up."

Sepphine slowly opens her eyes. The winter dawn light is entering from her window, snow falling lightly outside.

"Wake up, Sepphine, it's the last day of winter. Tomorrow, it'll be melting."

Sepphine slowly rises, sitting still on the bedside.

"Sepphine, it's 10 AM, wake up!"She said, loudly knocking.

"Yes, yes, mother, I'm awake." Sepphine said, looking outside the tall windows of her room.

Sepphine softly yawns and proceeds to unlock her bedroom door, and on the other side, was her mother. Selene Pellington.

"Sepphine, you sleep so late, you wake up so late. That's bad, especially for your face. If you keep this up, you'll never be as beautiful like me and your aunt." Selene said.

"So, you're saying, I'm not beautiful at all?"

"Honestly, yes. Let us go downstairs, for breakfast."

Sepphine looked back at the tall windows of her bedroom, the snow was melting. And Sepphine opened her window, and put her hand out. It was warm, not as cold as a week ago.

"Can I travel this summertime? I told you, I'm old enough to go." Sepphine said, turning back.

"I've already told you about this, Sepphine."

"But, mother, I'm tired of being inside the mansion walls. The only thing that connects me to the outside world, is the TV and my cellphone."

"No, Sepphine. You don't know the real world like I do. It's full of crime and corruption. I'm not keeping you prisoner here."

"Mother, it's not like that anymore. That might be the case, when you were young but-"

"I said, no! You are me and Rafael's only child, if something bad happened to you out there, I wouldn't forgive myself."

"I'm mature enough to–"

"Beyond these walls-" Selene points to the tall walls outside the family mansion. "-lies an unforgiving world, a world that targets the innocent, and curses those who are oblivious to it's dangers."

"Mother, please. I want to see what it's like out there. I've been in here for too long."

"We only have one life, Sepphine. We can't risk it all for travel. I don't want to hear your excuses. It's time for breakfast, there's strawberries and cream crepes downstairs, your favorite."

Selene says, as she walks towards the staircase.

However, Sepphine is left speechless in front of her bedroom door.

Sepphine, feeling hesitant, quickly grabs her phone, and calls her aunt.

"Oh my gosh, Sepphine, what a pleasant surprise! It's always nice to hear from family." Her aunt, Saffron Chaveaux, answered.

"Aunt Saffron, I will take that flight with you." Sepphine said.

"You will? Well, that's good. It tends to get lonely in my private jet. So, I'll inform your mother?"
