The night was rather humid, which was quite odd for Possum Springs as it usually carries dry air through it's gusts of untold secrets. My shoes patter against the sidewalk which bared some cracks of it's own, leaving myself to wonder how they appeared. I snap back to my own reality from the burning acids in my stomach, apparently didn't want to tell me that it didn't want food until I got outside. Feeling the acids rising up my throat, I rush to the forest and start to retch my own insides metaphorically. After a few unbearable and sickening minutes of pure disgorge, my stomach finally settled down and I was able to lift my head up without feeling like I'll be sick again. The wind blew past me and deeper into the woods, trying to urge me to venture and explore it's awaited secrets. I decided to allow myself to be taken by the whispers that hid deep in the wind. Grasping my sides and walking deliberately, I glance around at the sight that stood all around me and let out a meaningless sigh of pain. The pain was like needle pricks all over my fur and sunk deep into my muscles. However, I stood there wordlessly and took the pain like I was used to it. The world began to grow pitch black around me, darker than it already was, and I could feel myself hit the ground because of the sudden crunch of the leaves on the forest floor.

My eyes flew open and immediately I took in my surroundings, noting almost every detail about it. It was damp and hiemal, two things you don't want to combine in nature. A small drop of dew fell on my nose, making me shiver to try and get the wetness off. Being a cat myself, it was only natural that I would dislike water to a degree. From what I could assume from my surroundings and the temperature of this place, I was in the mines. How I got there, I had no clue. I possibly could have sleepwalked, since it was normal of me to do that as a child, but that most likely wasn't the truth even if I convinced myself to believe it. It was like trying to make Angus believe in a religion, it was almost close to impossible to do. As I stood up, pondering to myself of why I was here and how I got here, I took up the sight of a bright crimson light deep in the mines. Now I was definitely sure I was in the mines, as I have been here before when I was still in grade school. I would have done a lot as a kid if I really put the effort into it, but I was too busy either doing "crimes" with Casey and Gregg or busy doing my own thing and not really caring or thinking about my future. I was busy being a kid.

After exploring the mines for a bit, I began to notice the walls are frail and immensely malleable. Dangerously malleable. My heart begins to beat faster and faster, causing me to immediately run back through the way I came from. I wasn't as careful enough as I thought I was. There were now cuts covering the lower section of my arms and blood was running down it, leaving the same noise as the beginning of rains hitting the bare concrete. As I tried to rush out of the mines, there was a loud bang! from deep within the mines and I notice the walls start to cave in before me.

Gregg's POV

I awoke to the sound of the door shutting, even if the owner tried to close it silently. It was easy for me to hear things that other's don't, Angus calls it hypersensitivity or something around that. Sitting up in the bed I shared with Angus, I placed a paw on his shoulder and shook him awake. However, he only groaned and most likely thought I was moving around in bed again. As I get down from the bed and peer into the main room, I notice that both Bea and Mae were gone. I assume that they went outside together, which was normal for them, however, I couldn't help but worry about them. Why were they going outside so late? It was a quarter til 3am and police wouldn't be out in the streets for patrol. They could get seriously hurt if they weren't careful enough and I couldn't dare face them nor Angus if they were to do so.

So, after leaving a short note for Angus if he woke up to see that I wasn't there, I open the door and closed it behind me. The apartment halls were empty and it was nearly pitch black, but I luckily snagged a tiny but bright lantern that Angus had from Scouts years before now. Cautiously wondering down the halls, I notice that a few doors belonging to my neighbors were partially ajared but I decided to ignore it and bring it up later to my boyfriend. I kept walking until I reach the entrance door, which luckily wasn't that far from the apartment room I lived in.

Stepping out of the apartment building and into the dimmly lit streets, I look around to see if Bea was possibly just smoking outside. When I noticed I was wrong, I let out a long sigh and started to wonder about on the sidewalk. It didn't take long for me to find something worth wide. One of Bea's cigarettes, one that was recently lit. I quickly notice something off, sensing from my gut feeling of being followed. I wiped around and meet eye to eye with a hooded figure, whom seemed more slender and lengthier than me. I could tell it was a crocodile from the long snout and the scaled tail it possessed, which, of course, made my breath hitch for a second. The croc before me launched at me and I covered my face with my arms in a cross position.
