There was a loud moan that came from somewhere outside the window but, this was not a moan of pleasure or lust. No. This was a moan of boredom and misery.
There was a loud buzzing as if a storm of insects were rapidly beating their tiny little wings our way. Suddenly a swarm of insects flew into the room, a few scuttled from tiny wall crevices. In but an instant the room was flooded with bugs of all sizes. I felt my stomach churn as I heard the sound of crunching beneath my feet. There was another moan that sounded like it came from everywhere in the room before the insects started to form a tight swirling cylindrical shape that slowly fused and bubbled and morphed into a human like figure. With a loud, painful, sounding grunt the bugs started to merge into the figure like they were being sucked up into him to make his body.
The buzzing and crunching slowly deminished into nothing and was instead replaced with heavy, slow paced footsteps. The few bugs still left started to crawl away back into the walls and out of the windows, scuttling down the side of the building to who knows where. Once the sound of the bugs was completely gone the sound of awful coughing took its place.
"This, is Pestilence." said Famine as
Pestilence attempted to do a bow but started coughing again and nearly fell over. His coughing was like something sticky and oozing deep in his chest making it hard for him to breath let alone utter a word. The man slowly and stiffly got up. He was skinny and walked gangly, with red bags under his eyes. His complexion was almost sickly, which come to think of it matched his continious coughing. He wore a black beanie over his messy slightly spiked brown hair. He wore a gray, black and white flannel over a white shirt and dark sagging blue jeans. I was still only wearing the lacy black bra covered by the thin silken sheet that I had grabbed when Famine got here, holding it tightly against my chest. I wanted Grant to get them out of here as soon as possible, for some reason when Famine entered the room I had started to feel a dull aching where my mark was, but when Pestilence arrived it started to burn and the heat had started to spread to the rest of me. It hurt like hell but I didn't want to complain to Grant since this didn't seem like the appropriate time."Well Master Grant if you could kindly give us the girl. We will be out of your hair in no time." said Famine firmly but respectfully as he straightened his suit, which now looked to have been tailored to his currently young looking body. He stepped forward but Pestilance who was now resting casually, hands in pockets against the wall, grabbed his shoulder.
"Come on man. Lets go. I need another fix real bad. I don't think I can hold out much longer." Pestilence's voice came out shakey and quivering almost like he was pleading. I watched as his pupils started to get smaller and smaller. The smaller they got the faster the burning sensation around my mark increased.
"No. Not 'till we get the girl." Famine stated sounding slightly annoyed, turnning to face Pestilance.
"I said I need a fix. You know what Im like when I don't get my fix." Pestilance warned getting a bit of an edge to his voice as he licks his lower lips while stares at me, locking eyes with my own.
"I SAID SHUT UP DAMN IT!" Famine screamed, his voice sounding so out of charcter. Famine reached over and slapped Pestilence on his forehead and walked back to Grant. "Master Grant, I will ask one more time nicely for the girl." Famine said in his calmer toned voice again.
"I said No you freak!" Grant yelled but his voice was not as strong as before now wavering slightly.
"Well I guess you leave us no choice. We wont take on the son of death with just two of us. We will be back and when we are I hope you have changed your mind Master Grant." Famine said still sounding slightly annoyed.
"Now come on bug face we must prepare conquest" Famine said sternly to Pestilence.
"Only if I can get my fix real quick"
"Fine. Just shut your mouth until then you addicted bastard."
After that Pestilence started to become less human shaped and turned back into the nasty buzzing bugs which exited the room in but a moment. Pestilence grabbed his cane, knocked it upon the floor once and was then ingulfed in what looked like ash. When the air cleared there was nothing.
They were gone.
For now.
