Oh, the special day has come,
but you have not.
When i awake in the morning,
I lye in my king sized bed alone.
The sweet smell of roses fill my lungs with the air around me.
Sitting on my desk is a box of chocolates.
I dread getting up on this love filled day, but i do.
I put on my makeup, and my red colored clothes.
Off to school i go.
The radio is playing sappy love songs on every channel.
Entering the school, I watch as the girls scurry to class away from their boyfriends.
Chocolates, Stuffed Animals, and Roses in hand.
My friends surround me,
showering me with hugs and cookies, but you're no where in sight, so i just smile.
The colors red and pink everywhere.
Should today finally be the day i express my feelings towards you?
Maybe I'm too shy.
Its come to the time when i can't escape you.
Into the classroom with the bright pink curtins.
I reached into the pocket of my backpack,
pulling out a red velvet cupcake, i looked to the ground.
My shy raider cranked up to max.
Dragging my feet I walk to the chair where you sit.
Silently i set the cupcake down and smile,
my face burns as i stare at the floor.
You jump up and throw your gentle arms around me.
The remarkable aroma you give off is sweet like you.
Inhaling it like a drug, my face smashed into your neck.
So warm, like a teddy bear.
My knees are weak.
Pulling away you move to the next girl giving you chocolates.
I walk back to my seat and sit.
The magic,
The butterflies,
The heartbeat,
The charm,
The smiles,
The love,
The wonders that Valentines Day can do.
It's so amazing.
Love is in the air.
