" This Sky"

I was driving today, and I saw this sunset and I automatically thought of you. I thought, maybe she is looking at this sky right now, or that the same sky you seen this morning rotated to me at this time and in a sense we were connected.

I saw this sky and I thought of you. And I grew a bit sad. I grew sad because this sky resembled you in so many ways. Both spontaneous and colorful. Warm and embracing. Both are so breathtaking that they unknowingly captivate the attention of their onlookers without fully realizing their beauty themselves.

I saw this sky and thought, 'a sky is like a snowflake, each one different'. Knowing I missed so many beautiful moments of nature and can never re-create it or get it back. You, a snowflake of sunsets. People missing the catch and then left wondering. Me in this moment, looking at this sky at this exact time, knowing its resemblance and knowing its beauty can never be replicated. Knowing I could never physically touch it, yet I felt so in sync.

You are my sky Amara. Far but not lost, made for me, and I caught the glimpse everyone is looking for.
