"The Invisible Distance"
I'm crying, pleading to you. "please, please say something!"
No response.
"Come on, you can't do this! I need you. You are never here when I need you. Hug me just please, at least hold me and tell me everything will be okay!"
No response.
I look to my side and you aren't there. It's just me, crouched in the corner of these four walls. Alone. Crying.
I forget that you aren't by my side. I forgot I cant cry into your arms, soaking the sleeve on your shoulder.
My phone vibrates, a message. I unlock my phone and it's you, "hey, you haven't messaged all day, are you okay?"
And with your sentence I forget the distance.
I forget the pain. I forget your physical absence. Tears well up on the brim of my eye, but they are not tears produced from sadness, but those of happiness.
