"What?!" Mark took a step back.
"I'm sorry I scared you, but trust me, I'm not crazy. Mark, this isn't you, you must have been changed for this story."
The fear in Mark's eyes only grew, "W-why would they do that?"
"I don't know. You're perfect." You sighed dreamily, then slapped yourself. "Sorry, I don't mean to do that. Maybe it's the author controlling me or something."
"Do you know what kind of story we're in then?" Mark asked, slightly scared. "What if we're in a horror book?!"
"Well, we're in a world that wants me, a random girl, and you, a celebrity to fall in love. And we seem to be doing it unexplainably fast and with little reason." Then you groaned, "oh my gosh, we're in a fanfic!"
"Well, h-how do we get out?"
You shrugged, "heck if I know. I don't even remember how I got here. Honestly, I'm surprised that you believe me."
Mark's face got went from scared to serious. "Trust me, I don't. You're crazy; I'm just questioning the possibility."
You couldn't help but smile, "well, it's certainly good to see you being sassy and not just all lovey dovey with me."
Anger flew into Mark's eyes. "You think this is a joke? I know my own life, (y/n). You're out of your mind."
How could Mark not feel the loss of control? Maybe he was in just a little too deep...
"Mark? How much do you remember?"
Mark glared at you. "I remember my whole life, thank you very much."
Why did Mark remember his life, there's no way he's been there that long? Unless, this was some kind of Mark clone. You shook the idea off. That was way too crazy an idea, even for you. Just to check, you pulled out your phone. You went to YouTube and were flooded with videos about Mark.
"Mark, better known as Markiplier, has gone missing. He hasn't been heard of for over a week. Nothings been posted, and his last video sent a scary and unusual sign.
"What are you doing?" Mark asked you.
"Oh," you tried to hide your phone. "Nothing."
"Okay..." Mark grabbed Allie's leash, "sorry, (y/n), but I think I'm gonna head out. This is a bit too weird for me..." You sighed as he quickly left with Allie.
You went to his channel. Your eyes widened as you saw his latest video from 9 days ago titled "Help me".
You clicked and saw Mark, but normal. He had his brown eyes and short height back, but he was trembling in fear. "H-hey guys, so I-uh, I don't really know where I am right now, and I don't remember how I got here. To be honest, I don't really remember much at all. Everything's just kind of hazy, and I feel like I'm losing control. I can't even remember what I do on YouTube. I think maybe like, games or something?"
You gulped as he continued, "...nobody else is around; I've been searching for hours. I know I sound crazy, but I have no idea what's going on. Please...someone...anyone...help me..."
That must have been when he first entered this weird fan fiction world. He must have been brainwashed or something in his time here. Maybe Mark was given some kind of weird back story too, and that's why he 'remembered his whole life'. Was there a way you could help him remember what really happened to him? You called him several times, but he didn't answer until your 7th try.
"Please, (y/n)...leave me alone." You could hear the shakiness in his voice. "None of what you're saying is real." He sounded like he was trying to convince himself.
"Okay, Mark, I-I'll leave you alone, I promise." As soon as he hung up, you started sobbing. You just wanted to help him get out of here. After all, he's been here all alone, probably driving himself crazy for over a week. And if he wouldn't talk to you, then you were all alone too.
A/N - Hey, guys, just wanted to let you I'm not trying to bash Markiplier Fanfics at all, so please don't take any offense to the jokes I make about it. I always love a good Markiplier fanfic with things like love at first sight; I just thought this would be a fun idea. Trust me, it's all in good fun!
