"Wait!"

He stopped and turned around.

"Why did you help me?"

"You just looked like you needed it," he shrugged.

"Where am I?"

He laughed

"Have you never been to Earth before or something?" He joked

"No..."

He laughed again. We stood in silence for a while.

"Wait, you're serious?"

I nod

"Where are you from them?"

I stayed silent, what would I say?! I couldn't let him know where I was really from, not until I knew he could be trusted anyway.

"I was born on a space station, I've lived there my whole life"

"Jeez, how old are you?"

"15"

"You've lived in space for fifteen years?" He said, raising his eyebrows.

"Yeah... It's pretty lonely up there."

We both laughed.

"What's your name?" I asked

"Kalen" He said

"Kalen..." I said "Cool name! Did you know Kale is a moon that orbits Jupiter?" (A/N I DID RESEARCH)

"No, I didn't, how did you know that?"

"I guess living in space pays off!"

"I guess you're right"

We stood, just looking at each other.

I shivered

"Cold?"

"Kinda yeah..."

He took off his jacket and handed it to me, I put it on.

"Thanks Kalen" I said

"No problem! Keep it if you like!"

Silence again

"I- I have to go"

"Go where? You live in space"

"To find somewhere to sleep, isn't that obvious?"

"You won't find anywhere, the only way is to go into town, which is miles away. And people here aren't very... welcoming"

"What do you mean?"

"They are not friendly"

"Well what can I do?"

"You could come with me, I have space since I live alone"

"How old are you ?"

"16, I ran away when I was twelve"

"Oh..."

"So, you coming?"

"Okay"

"By the way, I didn't catch your name"

I sighed in my head, I couldn't lie about this
