New York City has plenty of LGBTQ+ pride parades. Everyone knows that. But, Gerard and Frank had never been to one. They didn't know why. But, with Malcolm, they wanted to show him it was okay to love who ever he wanted. So, they decided to go and bring him along.
Malcolm had never been more excited in his life. He loved New York, more than Texas anyways. Plus, going to a huge parade as a five year old is pretty exhilarating. Just to surprise his dads, he made a sign at day care the day before, reading "I LOVE MY DADS". Help from Spencer and Dobium, of course, but it was mostly him. He was proud to hold his sign up on Gerard's shoulders as he walked with Frank in the parade. Very proud.
