This is my first attempt at a story on Wattpad so I hope this pleases your expectations of a good enough story.

Comments and votes are strongly encouraged and would truely make my day. (Like really, it would)

Enjoy!!! :)

p.s: Please mind my language--I was raised by sailors. ;)

                                                                 CHAPTER 1

"Oh my gosh! I just can't wait until you meet 'em. He's the guy of my dreams, Tay. The guy of my dreams." My best friend, Kina, explained to me with dramatic enthusiasm.

"I can't wait either." I lied easily, placing a fake smile on my lips.

No offence to her, but Kina seems to always fall for the 'Mr. Wrongs' of this world. It's either they play her to get what they want or they just simply use her for sex, which mostly ends up to another broken heart.

Although, she seems to have an endless supply of those seeing how many times she laid hers out to be broken.

I, on the other hand, will never experience that.

One, because I have a twin brother (who's just as bad as the guys Kina dates) to teach me better and to protect me from the other jerks like him. And two, because everytime a breakup happens to Kina, the lesson is learned by me while it's thrown over her head once she spots her next guy.

I continued running my fingers over the many books in our school library, they all seemed like good reads! Its a shame how kids these days dismiss the oppertunity of entering a new state of mind that only books give you.

If you haven't noticed it yet, I'm a complete nerd. Well, a book nerd to be exact. I would know anything about the fictional stories I read but if you ask me a mathematical question, I'm at a lost for words.

"Find it yet? Class is about to start and I need to go to the vending machine. Mama needs some sugar in her system." Kina joked, emphasising the word 'sugar' with a man's deep rugged voice.

I laughed the loudly before the only other student in the library turned from the shelf he was looking through and gave me a 'really?' look. I quickly sobered up then looked away from the pasty kid awkwardly.

"Go ahead. I'll see you next period." I dismissed her, patting her back with a small smile.

Kina sent me a peace sign before turning on her heels towards the guy who hushed me up.

He was now seated alone with a small stack of books placed next to the one that he was currently reading. He probably had a free period and decided to spend it at the quietest place in the school...well until we disturbed him.

I watched as Kina lowered her head towards his ear. "Hope that book is giving you a good mind fuck 'cause that's about how close you're ever going to get to the real thing buck-o."

My bottom lip dropped.

However, it was Kina. She's a feisty and unpredictable girl when it comes down to how she'll react to certain things. And in this guy's case, she just didn't take his interruption very well.

Once Kina was long gone, probably chowing down on some sour Skittles; the guy she picked on  continued to glance at me with hurt tattooed onto his eyes.

It was time for me to leave. I felt beyond guilty for the way Kina treated him.

I grabbed the first book I saw with a dark cover, hoping it would be a mystery book--my favorite-- and rushed to go check it out.
