A/N: I know. Finally right? lol. Sorry for the hold up.
Chapter 9
The next whole day was a drag.
I guess all of the teachers agreed that the third day back was the perfect day to pile on all the homework seeing that I received five homework assignments due on the next day, excluding drama class where Ms. Pacheco just had us each read aloud a soliloquy.
Rodney and Leeanna were getting friendlier, I could see it, but the secrets they were hiding from each other was still keeping them back.
Chris confronted Liz about having her brothers jump him and ended up finding out that those guys were just people she paid off to hurt him.
I didn't do anything about that though. Chris made a bed with tacks laid up and now he had to lay on it.
Kina came over that afternoon to show off her new paint job--it was ready earlier than planned--then brought us to a small ice cream parlor where the subject of Cole eventually popped up.
"He's mad at me." I stated as I swirled the milky top of my strawberry ice cream.
Her brows furrowed a bit. "He didn't at least tell you why he's mad?" She questioned me before picking out a m&m from her bowl and throwing it into her mouth.
I was silent for a while, reliving his heated words to me, before answering, "He thinks that I'm repulsed by him."
Her brows crinkled. With her mouth stuffed with type-two diabetes she asked, "And why would he think that?"
I looked around the room guiltily, spotting a small girl wearing a pink dress sitting on a tall bar stool swinging her legs happily as her curly-ended ponytail bounced along to the rhythm. "I want a milkshake. I want a milkshake." The girl sang.
A smile tugged at my lips a little at the site. I miss those innocent days...
"I told him what he did to me meant nothing." I said quickly, not looking at her.
Suddenly the girl hopped off the stool and stomped over in between a couple who were chatting lowly.
"I want a milkshake!" She roared at them making my eyes go wide.
The couple looked around the room apologetically. "Sophia, go sit back down. The milkshake will be ready soon." The woman I guessed to be her mother advised.
The girl--Sophia-- walked away singing to herself, "My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard."
My mouth popped open in shock while Kina bursted out laughing.
"She's my dream daughter." She commented between laughs. And I couldn't help but laugh too.
Then Kina's laughing stopped all together, which was odd since she was the type to go on and on with her laughter.
"Wait you told him what?!" She exclaimed a little too loudly causing random people to scowl our way. "Taylor, please tell me you didn't tell a guy who was nice enough to give you oral, that what he didn't meant nothing, especially if he didn't ask you to return the favor! Do you know how many guys who aren't that considerate? A lot, Tay." She stressed and I felt a bit odd having this coversation in such a public place.
I sighed. I felt so different now. What he did to me that night changed something in me. I'm confused as to what to do next and I keep feeling the urge to let Cole have me again.
Disgusting, I know.
"I didn't know." I replied with a dismissive shrug, hoping she'd get off the subject-- which she did.
