"Lydia!" Dad calls as I finish getting ready for our trip to La Push. "Are you about ready!?"
"Yeah!" I call back. "I just need my shoes!"
I skip downstairs after lacing up my converse and I run smack into Emmett. He pats my head before I follow dad outside to his car. I fasten my seatbelt before he pulls away from out amazing house.
Dad shows up at this cabin like home in La Push. A man with tanned skin steps out, his girlfriend has a scar along her jaw, but I push that aside and I take in her undying beauty.
"Sam, this is Lydia." Dad says. "Esme and my adopted, human daughter."
Sam takes on my appearance. "Wanna sit here for a little while?"
"Can I dad, can I?" I give him pleading eyes.
Dad chuckles. "Yes, Lydia. Go ahead."
Dad leaves and Sam invites me inside his home. His fiancee's name is Emily Young. She is a kind woman, I think.
"You have a lovely home." I smile, looking around the house.
"Thank you, dear." Emily smiles.
"The pack should be here at any time." He smiles. "We have two who haven't phases yet, but they still come here."
I smile. "It is pretty cozy here. I really don't blame them."
Sam smiles and motions for me to sit. Emily hands me a small mug of hot chocolate. The house soon fills with guys. Sam introduces them as they walk through the door. Seth and Leah Clearwater are the two who haven't phased yet. Seth is so cute!
"This is Lydia Cullen." Sam tells the pack of wolves, and the siblings.
They all mumble their greetings. Paul is kind of grumpy, Jared says he is always this way. Leah seems tense around Sam and Emily together, or around just Sam.
"I have to go." I say as dad pulls up outside. "I start school tomorrow. Tootles!!"
I run outside and I get in dad's car.
"How was it?" He asks.
"I love it there." I reply. "I have a crush on Seth Clearwater, he hasn't phased yet. Even when he does, do I have your blessing?"
He smiles. "Of course, you do Lydia."
I smile. "Thanks, daddy."
We arrive home, talking about how I have a crush on Seth. Rosalie smiles at me, because I am smiling myself. I sit on the couch with Jasper, he smiles fondly.
"Are you ready for school?" He asks.
I shrug. "I kind of have no choice."
He nods. "That's true, love."
"I developed a crush today in La Push." I say with a small blush creeping upon my face.
"On who?" Alice asks.
"Seth Clearwater, he hadn't phased yet." I smile. "Dad gives me his blessing, even when Seth does phase."
"That's great." Alice smiles. "Esme is cooking you something to eat."
I skip up the stairs and I find Esme cooking away on the newer model stove. I sit at the counter and I tell her about my day with the pack of wolves. They are all nice; well, all of them but Paul, Paul is real mean when his temper is set off like Embry did by accident.
After eating the spaghetti mom made for me, I carry myself up to my room. I lock my door behind me before I strip from my day's clothes. I put on a baby blue pajama set before I climb into the warmth of my bed. I close my eyes and I drift off to sleep.
