We stood there, Rain and I, white sand between our toes, a nice, warm, summer breeze flowing through our hair, keeping it out of our eyes as we stared at what seemed to be an endless ocean of crystal clear blue water. I wish we could live here forever.

"I know you do," said Rain. Of course, I was mumbling to myself, but oddly enough, she could still hear me. "I wish we could live here as well. But mom said we have to go next Monday, so we can get all the school supplies we need for this year." That's something I had forgotten. We are supposed to start school in two weeks, and we're still at this beautiful beach. Maybe I could stay here...

"No, you can't. And don't you even try to turn into water and shapeshift into a puddle." Rain said icily, thinking she can scare me to death. Oh, and about what she said about the whole water and puddle thing, well, I'll explain later. I thought to myself about what she said, as I got distracted by the sky, which seemed as clear as the ocean. I knew it was the perfect time, so I ran as fast as I could in the water, crouched down, stretching my wings and jumping up real high, then flapping them when I jumped, and started flying, high in the warm, breezy sky.

It felt so nice to be flying in such a warm breeze, I felt as if I was dreaming. Apparently my sister cared to join me in this beautiful flight.

"Finally joined, didn't you?" I said, a half-smile creeping up on my face. it's not as though me and my sister don't get along, in fact, she's my best friend, especially because we have  the same secrets and keep them to ourselves. We always understood each other and were always there for each other.

"Well, It's not like i'm gonna miss up an opportunity to stretch out my wings and fly in this warm breeze. Besides, I also wanted to show off how much faster I can fly than you." she said, smiling at me, and then zoomed past me. After the shock of what she had said, I started flying as fast as I could and had caught up to her, and a sudden burst of energy blasting right through me, as I zoomed far past her, seeing more land again. I paused right there, slowing down because it's hard to stop flying in the middle of air. Finally, Rain had caught up, breathless. She saw me, wide-eyed, staring straight down, and knew something terrible was wrong.
