I just couldn't believe it. He had wings. I couldn't get that thought out of my mind. It was too unreal. I never knew there were others just like us. It just blew me away. That's when I started thinking, why didn't he just fly away? It was probably because the ceiling was on fire and even with the shield, he probably could still get hurt by it. But he looked tired. He was running out of energy. that's probably why.

"uhmm..... how about we fly straight up? I'll make a shield and blast through the ceiling, so just stay right behind me, okay?" I said, sounding a little nervous, as if I saw a cat chasing a dog. "Then we might be able to get out of here faster."

He nodded, and I jumped in the air turning into metal and then turning into a metal shield, right above him. We then started flying straight up, dodging the debris.  We then met up with my sister, who was floating there, looking the least bit worried. I turned back into my normal form, and we went back to the beach and sat down on the sand, the boy laying the little girl down. We all then started talking to each other, getting to know each other.

He told us about his family and how he was the only one with wings. The little girl's wings were still growing out. He told us about how it was only them living together, because they ran away because people thought they were freaks. least, some of them. others crowded arund them, asking questions, ignoring the fact that they wanted to be left alone.

"And that's why we lived there. Because the people were driving us crazy." he said, seeming only a little bit upset. "We actually got use to it real fast. It was really nice to be living on our own. It's fun because we have our own rules, but are still responsible for taking care of the house." He looked at me, and I could feel my cheeks heating up, so I looked away.

I then stood up and said, "We should go tell mom we're okay. She's probably freaking out." My sister then looked at me, studying my face. I guessed that my cheeks were still red. Then Rain stood up.

"I'll go tell mom," Rain said, making me sit down. "Blayne, you stay here. I'll be back in a few minutes" An evil smile creeped up on her face, as she could tell I felt uneasy about her making me stay here with Aron. He is a nice guy, I just can't seem to not blush when he looks at me. We were then just sitting close to each other, as if he could reach over and..... what am I thinking!? Forget It. Just forget it. I rested my head on my arms, and rested my arms on my knees. We were looking out at the starry night sky, reflecting off the ocean.

"So..." he said, almost making me jump. I was getting so lost in my thoughts, I almost had forgotten he was there. "Do you guys, like, live here or something?"

  "No."

    "...Oh. Here for vacation?"

   "Yep."

    "Cool."

    "Yep."

     "Ever flown at night?"

I lifted my head up, my face showing suprise. I looked over at him, wondering what It would feel like to fly at night. It must feel amazing, as if you could touch the stars in the night sky.

"No, actually, I haven't. Is it nice flying at night?" I said, probably sounding stupid.

He looked at me suprisingly, then smiled and said, "Then lets fly."
