Remus: if Remus said the first "I love you", it would probably just slip out on accident. Maybe while they were studying, and Sirius is dozing off or making inappropriate jokes. He would laugh a little and say it quietly. Sirius would pop his head up immediately and look Remus in the eye. Remus would cover his mouth and gasp, afraid he just ruined everything. Sirius would smile in relief before attaching his lips to Remus'. "I've been waiting to hear that since 3rd year," The raven-haired boy would admit later, as he's cuddling into Remus' chest. Remus just blushed again, kissing the shorter boy on the forehead. "I've been waiting to SAY it since 3rd year."
Sirius: If Sirius said the first 'I love you', it would be totally on purpose. When Remus has fallen asleep on his lap or in the hospital wing resting from a full moon. Remus would mumble an "I love you, too", because even if he was half-conscious, he knows that it was Sirius who said it, and he knows he Loves Sirius, too. later, Sirius would admit how scared he was that he would screw something up. Remus would smack the back of his head and cuddle Sirius into his chest.
"You daft tosser," The sandy blond-haired boy would say, "i love you, too"
