I sighed as Ki, Usopp and I walked up to the roof for lunch. I had made another special lunch for Luffy durning second period with Sanji like I promised I would when Bridget, Jasmine and Yurra destroyed the first one.
"I have a feeling that we're going to be ambushed by Bartolomeo as soon as we open the door." Ki said.
"Who is this Bartolomeo guy?" I asked.
"He's an eccentric crest-head with sharp teeth. People often call him a cannibal because of his looks. He's not a bad guy. Really fun." Usopp said.
"He's louder than Luffy is and practically worships the ground we walk on. What we did to make him act that way to us, I'll never know." Ki said. Ki seemed less enthused by Bartolomeo while Usopp seemed like he was talking about an old friend. I giggled at them.
We opened the door and stepped out on to the roof. I saw a tall guy with green, crest-like hair talking with Luffy. Seeing me, as usual, Luffy leapt from his seat and jogged over to me, pulling me in to a tight hug before turning to walk back with us. But this time, the crest-head followed him.
"Aisuru-senpai! My apologize for the way Miniko and his men acted this morning! Please forgive us!" He said with a bow. Luffy hugged me tight when I looked confused.
"Ai-chan, this is Barto!" He said.
"Hi, Bartolomeo." Usopp said.
"Sup, Bart?" Ki asked as she and Usopp walked past him.
"To hear Usopp-senpai and Ki-senpai greet my like a friend makes my heart sing!" He said. I giggled at his antics. His attention was back on me, once again apologizing for his friends' behavior.
"It's alright. They didn't mean any harm." I said with a smile. Luffy scowled.
"Barto, remind Miniko to keep his hands to himself. I didn't like how he touched Ai-chan." Luffy said. I smiled at him softly. Bartolomeo burst in to flames suddenly.
"That bastard laid his hands on a senpai with out persmission?!" He suddenly ran off. I blinked as he did.
"What?" I asked.
"He's taking care of it." Luffy said, pulling me back towards thw group.
"Luffy?" I asked, stopping.
"Hm?" He asked, turning around and facing me. I went up on my toes, wrapping my arms around his shoulders and kissing him. His arms snaked around my waist and pulled me closer as he leaned in to the kiss. I smiled in to the kiss. We pulled away for air and he gave me a tender smile.
"MY OTP!!!!" I heard Bartolomeo cheer behind me. I giggled and burried my face in Luffy's neck.
"They are so cute!" Nami sang.
Time skip
Luffy walked me home, holding my hand the whole way. Ki had decided to go home with Zoro, so it was the two of us.
"Luffy?" I asked.
"Yeah, Ai-chan?" He asked.
"Do you really think the Music Club would want me?" I asked. Luffy pulled my hand up over his shoulders, then wrapped his arm around my waist. He scooped me up in his arms, bridal style. I squealed when he did. He laughed at me reaction.
"I know they will, Ai-chan! You're amazing with your violin!" He said. I giggled and held on to him.
"Why are you carrying me?" I giggled.
"Because I felt like it." He said. I laughed and hugged him. He grinned at me and carried me the rest of the way home.
"Will you play your violin for me before I go home? Please?" He asked. I hummed.
"Okay." I said. He grinned brightly and kissed my cheek. I giggled and he carried me up the steps and put me down so I could unlock the door.
We walked in and Luffy sat down in the lounge as I ran up to my room and grabbed my violin. I returned to him with a bright smile. He grinned brightly at me and I began to play a song that Dad would always sing to me when I was little and had a bad dream.
Luffy grinned as I played. I heard him humming along, making me smile. He knew the song, too. I finished the song and set my violin back in its case.
As I stood up, I felt Luffy's arms wrap around me. I smiled as I felt him nuzzle his face in my neck. His hair brushed over my neck, making me giggle.
"Can we cuddle for a little bit?" He asked me. I smiled and kissed his cheek.
"I don't mind." I said. I sat down by him on the couch. His arms wrapped around me and I rested my head on his shoulder. I closed my eyes happily, taking in his sent.
"Ai-chan?" He asked.
"Yes?" I asked.
"I'm happy that you're my girlfriend." He said. I smiled brightly.
"I am, too, Luffy." I said, smiling up at him. He dipped his head and kissed me. I giggled at how sweet he was being.
I loved how energetic and optimistic Luffy was, but these small moments when he was being all cute and cuddly with me, I loved it just as much. I felt so special when I was in his arms.
I kissed his cheeks. He grinned at me.
"You're too sweet for me, you know that?" He asked. I giggled and kissed his cheek.
"You're too sweet to me, you know?" I asked. He smiled and hugged me tighter.
"As long as you're happy." He said. I nuzzled in to his chest with a happy blush in my face.
"As long as I have you, Dad and Makino, I don't see how I could be unhappy!" I said with a bright smiled. Luffy smiled at me and rested his cheek against my hair.
"Ai-chan... promise you won't leave me?" He asked. I was surprised by the question, but I cuddled to him more.
"You couldn't even drag me away." I said. He smiled at me and kissed my head.
I think I fully fell in love with Monkey D Luffy in that moment.
