Aisuru's POV
I drew a deep breath as I stared at the door of the music room. I held tight to my violin case.
"Hey, you don't need to be so nervous. You'll be fine." Luffy said, standing next to me. I hugged my case.
"I hope so. I'm so nervous. I've never actually played for anyone I didn't know before." I said. Luffy leaned over and kissed my cheek.
"They are going to love you. I know it. Go in there and blow their minds. I know you can do it." Luffy told me. I looked up at him.
"You're not going to watch?" I asked. He gave me a sheepish grin.
"Basketball try outs are today. I'll be just down the hall. Don't worry." He cupped my cheeks and gave me a soft kiss.
"For good luck. Like you'll need it. You've got talent." He said. I gave him a quick peck on the lips.
"You go and rock the basketball team." I said. He grinned.
"I'll see you later." He said. I watched him walk down the hall to the gym. When he was out of sight, I drew a deep breath and pushed the door open and in to the music room.
Eyes were immediately on me as soon as I entered the room. I immediately wanted to back out of the room.
"Hello! Are you here for the auditions?" Asked a tall man with a wicked afro. I nodded slowly. He smiled brightly at me.
"Your name, my dear?" He asked. I swollowed.
"A-Aisuru. Aisuru LeRoux." I said. The man smiled.
"I'm the music teacher, Mr Brook. I'm also the adviser of this club. You're audition is after Miss Ariala's. Please take a seat." He said with a kind smile. I nodded. A girl with long black hair that shadowed one eye stood up. In her hand was an acoustic guitar. She began to play "Come By The Hills" by Celtic Thunder. She never missed a note and she played beautifully. I was intimidated by her talent. Maybe I shouldn't be here.
"Wonderfully done as always, Miss Ariala. Miss LeRoux, you may take the floor." Mr. Brook said. I drew a deep breath.
"No backing out now. Luffy believes in you. You can do this." I thought and took my place in front of my audience. I pulled my violin from it's case and placed in on my shoulder. I placed the bow over the strings. I closed my eyes and began to play the same song I played for Luffy the other day. I opened my eyes and saw everyone staring at me with wide eyes and dropped jaws. I felt my heart beating very quickly. Was it not good enough?
Mr. Brook cleared his throat.
"Magnificent." He said. I felt myself blush and packed up my violin quickly.
"I will have the results of the auditions posted out side this room tomorrow morning. Thank you all for coming. Have a nice evening." He said. I swallowed hard. I gathered my things and headed for the door.
"H-hey! W-wait up!" I heard. I turned my head and saw the girl that played guitar run up to me.
"Hi! I'm Ariala, Melissa. Every one calls me Mel or Lissy though." She said with a smile.
"I'm Aisuru." I said softly.
"Yeah, you sounded amazing up there!" She said. I blushed.
"You really think so?" I asked. She nodded.
"Mr. Brook is a pretty tough music critic. He can tell when someone truely loves the music they play and you were able to stun him. No one has stunned him since my big brother, Ariala Matthew. Matt also played violin, like you." She said. I blinked.
"Played?" I asked. She nodded.
"Matt joined the army after high school. He... he was killed in action." She said.
"I'm sorry." I said to her. Lissy wiped her eyes.
"It's alright. It was almost ten years ago, after all. Anyways, hey.. your Monkey D Luffy's girlfriend, right?" She asked. I nodded. She grinned.
"I'm one of his friends from second hour. I heard about what Bridget and her bitches did to you. Luffy looked pretty pissed for the days after that. He really cares about you." She said. I blinked.
"Oh! You probably think I'm one of Luffy's fangirls. No, no, no. We're just friends. He introduced me to my boyfriend, Bartolomeo." She said. My eyes widened.
"You're Bart's girlfriend?" I asked softly. She nodded with a bright grin and a soft blush.
"I know it's hard to believe. An acoustic like me with a rock star like him. But he's just so sweet." She said with a blush. I giggled.
"He is really nice." I said. She grinned at me.
"Anyway, I really hope we both get in to Music club. I'd like to hang out with you more." She said. I smiled and nodded at her.
"Same here. Well, I'll see you around, Lissy." I said and walked down the hall to the gym to watch the basketball try outs finish up.
Time skip
"Mr. Brook said the results of auditions would be posted tomorrow morning." I said. Luffy grinned and held my hand.
"I'm sure you'll be at the top of the list!" He said and kissed my cheek. I giggled at his antics.
"And how did basketball tryouts go?" I asked him. His had already finished by the time I got there, but we stayed to watch Zoro and then watched Ki in the female basketball team's try outs.
"Coach Dracule said they results will be up tomorrow morning, but I already know that Luffy and I are in." Zoro said. I looked over at him.
"How do you know that?" I asked.
"These two are the Stars of the boy's basketball team. A season with out them is a losing season!" Ki said, wrapping her arms around their shoulders.
"Let's not forget that you and Kelsey are the stars of the girl's basketball team. And with how amature the other girls were, I saw Coach Dracule relax when the two of you stepped on to the court." Zoro said. Luffy laughed as Ki grinned. I smiled. Zoro and Ki split off to Ki's house and Luffy walked me to mine. He pouted at me when we reached the door.
"I really wish I could stay and cuddle with you, but Ace needs me home. He and Aoi are leaving for a movie shoot in a couple of hours." He said. I smiled and kissed him softly.
"I understand, Luffy. I'll see you tomorrow." I said. He smiled and kissed me again.
"See you tomorrow, my beautiful princess." He whispered in my ear, making me blush. He kissed my cheek and headed home. I sighed, wishing to have his arms around me again.
