Mira's pov-

Tanner's phone kept blowing up thus ruining the moment. It was still amazing. It started out soft and sweet then became hungry and powerful. I'm so happy the light in the parking lot stoped working because I was not in the mood for anyone to see us.  Tanner unlocked the car while he paced around the car yelling at someone over the phone. My guess was Jacob. A few minutes past and tanner walked back over to the passenger seat. I was sitting in the backseat, not aure why but I was. He opened the door and got down in his knees. He didnt even look me in the eyes he just knelt there and wrapped his arms around my waist, digging his face into my lap.

"Tanner, is something the matter?"

"Wov  mwe"

His words were muffled by my thighs.

"I can't understand you when your face is in my thigh."

He looked up at me then got really close to my face. Like really close.

"Love me."

That was all he said then he kissed me again. This time the kiss showed how vulnerable he really was. I don't know if I can love him. Everyone I loved has died. Do I want to put him in that kind of danger? I'm not sure.

"Tanner..."

"You don't love me, do you?"

I could feel his heart breaking. It was awful

"I don't want to hurt you. If you got hurt it'd be fault. Everyone I love dies and I can't let that happen to you. But don't get me wrong, I do love you. I just don't want to hurt you."

"I love you so much. Never leave me."

"I love you too and I'll try not too."

"Try?"

"If something concerning my past comes up I won't hesitate to leave for your safety."

"Oh ok. Well that was jake on the phone and he said he's home now so we can head over there."

"Ok."

With we both climbed out of the back seat and got in the front seat. Once inside he put on:

I began to sway to the beat as we pulled out if the parking lot. I couldn't help it. This was one of my favorites to dance to.
