Dan-
After Phil left, I realized I had lost my chance.. He wanted to talk to me! He wanted to socialize with me, as weird as me socializing may sound. And I ruined it. I ruined my chance at a possible friendship. Even if it would've been short. I would have had a friend, until, like everyone else in my life, he would disappear. And it would be my fault.. Maybe I still have a chance. "Wait!" I quickly yell. Everyone is staring at me, but I don't care. He turns around, a surprised expression on his face. He just stands there, staring at me, waiting for me to say something. "Please don't leave.. I'm sorry, you can sit with me if you'd like.." I'm fully expecting him to ignore me, to turn around and sit back down in the front seat. But instead, a smile slowly forms on his formerly disappointed face. "Thank you, Dan." He says warmly. He walks back to where I am and sits down. "Not a problem" I say, starting to smile a bit myself. I haven't been this happy in so long, it feels funny. To smile, I mean. I miss it.. And who knows, maybe I'll be doing it more often.. Isn't it funny how one person can change your mood so easily? It really is crazy, but, for some reason, it doesn't bother me. It should, but it doesn't, and for that I am grateful.. I usually question everything, and everyone. But talking to Phil, it's different. I really think this might work out.. I might actually have a friend, and that thought makes me the happiest of all.
