The Sun And The Moon
My baby cousin ask me why a name was on my wrist.
It was my best friend Daytona
She asked me what best friend meant.
We were outside listing to the birds and the wind that went threw the tree's making a peaceful sound.
The moon and the sun were both up in the sky.
The sun setting and the moon taking it's place.
I thought about it and told her.
"Best friends are like the sun and the moon.
Daytona is the sun and I'm the moon.
We may be miles away from each other but we are always together at the heart
We are completely different but yet completely the same.
We need each other like the sun needs the moon
And
The moon needs the sun.
Without the other, you'll fail. You need each other to want to go on.
The sun and the moon are best friends, they wouldn't be the same without each other.
The sun and the moon is you and your best friend.
You will always need them to go on.
That's what best friends are."
