"Finn, are we almost there?"

"Yeah, just a little bit more!"

Where was Finn taking her? She hadn't really planned on hiking today. She probably looked horrible by this point.

"Over here." Said Finn, sitting on a rock close to the edge of the slope.

Millie sat next to him and took in the view. She'd never seen so many stars in her life.
She turned to face Finn who was staring in awe at the cosmos in front of them.

"How did you find this place? It's beautiful!" Millie asked in amazement.

Finn turned to face Millie, suddenly trapped in her gaze. He'd been to this place so many times, yet the stars couldn't compare to the galaxy's in her eyes.

Suddenly Finn was unable to control his voice. "I um... I just found it while uh... I was walking around." He started blushing as he realized just how nervous she was making him.

'Aw, he's blushing.'

Millie liked it when Finn blushed, it was cute. Even more, she liked looking into his eyes. She'd usually prefer blue or green eyes, but something about Finn's eyes made her forget all of that.

'Snap out of it Millie, you just met him.'

She decided to look back at the stars so Finn didn't think she was staring at him.

"Well, what a great find it was. It's like I can see the whole universe from here." Millie said in awe.

"I think that's what I like most about it. I usually come here when I'm having problems. Just seeing how small I am compared to... all of this just puts everything into perspective. No matter how big the problem is, it's usually just in my head. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. But it's a good distraction either way."

Millie nodded along to what Finn was saying.

Looking back at Finn, she couldn't help it anymore. She was falling for him. She never had a lot of friends, and yet here was someone that was opening up to her the same day they had met.

Suddenly Finn was looking at her again. "Wow, your eyes are amazing." All of the color drained from Finn's face, "Did I say that out loud?" Millie, caught by surprise, blushed like mad. Did he really just say that?

"Do you really think that?" She asked.

"Well." Finn could feel the heat on his cheeks.

'Tell her what you think idiot!'

"Yeah, I think you look really pretty. Especially your eyes."

Millie sat in a shocked silence, long enough for Finn to start to panic.

"Sorry, I shouldn't've said that. God, I probably sound stupid and weird and made you uncomfortable."

"Finn."

"Yeah?"

Finn looked at Millie, scared of what he'd see. Would she be angry that he said that? Weirded out? Instead he found a look of understanding on her face. A smile with big brown eyes that did the same.

"I understand. I actually think you look really cute." Millie said. There, she said it. Well, maybe not all that was on her mind, but she'd get there. For now, she was making progress.

Now Finn sat in silence. He didn't know what to think.

'She just said she thinks you're cute dude! Wait does she like you? There's no way! Wait, do you like her?'

The more Finn thought on it, the faster it set in. He'd fallen for the girl he'd just met, and he didn't want to get back up.

"Th-thanks."

'Way to go with your mastery of words.'

"Hey, what time is it?" Millie asked. Finn pulled out his phone, it read 11:26.

"Oh god, it's 11:26." Finn said, pain setting in.

"Well I guess we should get going. I'll see you at school?" Millie said, already thinking of their next meeting.

"Yeah, sounds good. See you then." Finn said. Finn started walking away, mind buzzing with all that had happened.

"Hey Finn?" Millie called out.

Finn turned around to face her. "Yeah?"

"I don't know how to get down from here. Think you could guide me?" Millie said, climbing down from the rock they had been sitting on.

"Oh yeah. Sorry about that."

As they were walking back down the trail, Finn decided to be the first to make a move. He laced his hand with Millie's, causing her to look up at him in surprise. Finn kept staring straight, trying to stop the blush on his cheeks.

When the surprise faded away, Millie decided that this was a day to remember.

A/N: So I'm kind of stuck with 'Waste' seeing as that's how I feel right now. So I'm wondering, where do you want to see it go, either in the next chapter or at some point in the story.
