Chapter 3: Ashlyn Graves

     Once we get to my cave I introduce Katie to my family. "And finally my parents, Katie I'd like you to meet my mom and dad." I say. "It's nice to meet you Mr and Mrs Graves." She says cheerily. "It's nice to meet you too Katie. Ashlyn has told us a lot about you." My mom says. "Are your parents okay with you being here?" My dad says. "No, I had to lie to them. They're kind of anti-werewolf." She says. I hope mom and dad aren't mad at me for this. "Oh, well it's good that you aren't taking the same path." My dad says. "Yeah I always thought werewolves were really cool!" She says excitedly. "That's wonderful sweetie!" My mom says.
     "Honey it's almost time for your dance, do you want to go grab Katie?" My dad says. I nod then go to find her. "Katie!" I call. I hear shouting. It's almost time for my dance and after that I change into my wolf form and howl at midnight signaling that I am the Alpha now. I walk towards the voices and see a man with glowing red eyes yelling at Katie! I growl but stop myself, I have three minutes till midnight, I'll just have to fight him in human form then. "Hey! Leave her alone!" I yell. He looks at me and bares his fangs. His red eyes glowing blood red in the moonlight. "Run Ashlyn! Run!" She yells. Her face is cut, bloodied and bruised. "I can't leave you Katie! You were my friend I can't leave you behind." I shout.
He whips her to the ground and runs after me.
3... Growling....
2.... Eyes turning golden...
1... Form...
Midnight... Howl!
I howl at the moon and begin to change from a Beta to an Alpha. My fur turns white, my eyes grow a darker gold, my teeth and claws grow sharper and more jagged, and I get my Alpha strength. I knock her dad to the grass and pounce on him. He bites my arm but his teeth break. I missed my dance because of this weakling. I rip off his left arm and scar his face. "Run Kate my dear, this is a true Alpha for you. Leave before she gets you too!" He shouts. I knock him out and turn human again. I walk to Katie I extend my hand and bow. "We have a dance to get to." I smile as she takes my hand and we walk back to the cave for the Full Moon Dance.
