It's hot here. Really hot with no water, no rain, no nothing but the flames and heat I've knows forever. The flames lick at my pale skin ironically. They nip and bite but never eat. Teasingly tickling and itching my soft, suprisingly not burnt ankles.

The fire is trapped because it is who it is, a mass, a ball, a giant blaze of heat and light. Yet I am trapped here for no known reason. I do not even know how I got here.

The Moon talks to me sometimes. It's the same conversation but the only one I get. "Child, watch. Watch the movements, figure out where you are, young one. Then you will be free." Then it disappears for another Rest Time only to come back with the same vague words.

Watch what? The other balls of fury? The tossing masses playing happily as they soar? Or the multi colored shapes thst rotate around my prison? If so, which ones or one?

I sigh and sit in the flames of my home. I'll never be free, I thought as I watch a blue and green and white circle spinning in front of me. I then realize I'm creating a shadow and a problem for the tiny mass so I stand up and shift down so the light and warmth I'm constantly around reaches the tiny thing. I do not know why it is important for the Sun I am trapped on to heat the planet.

Child, you have watched and thought for many light years. Ironic, yes, I know. But you are free now because you have figured out where you are and what to watch. A child of the Sun and Moon. Rise, for We will not live much longer and you must take our places. The Moon spoke to me!! Finally a new conversation!

"Moon! You spo-" My mouth was filled with silence as I watched the planets rotate faster, making me dizzy, and the Moon and the Sun I am trapped on move and mold together.

I am sucked into the new creation and I now know my destiny. I am no longer trapped but keeping life from being so. I am the new Moon and Sun.

So I guess this is becoming a book of short stories... I'll change the name and title soon. Tell me your thoughts!
