Kairi's POV

A sigh escapes my lips. I sit on my window sill, leaning against a giant pillow I had leaned against the wall. The plush cushion that rested on the window sill was was now sat upon by me. My feet almost touched the wall on the other side of the bay window. (Here's a look at what she's talking about)

I sigh again as I look out the window and sketch the scene below me

I sigh again as I look out the window and sketch the scene below me. People walk between the two buildings as if it were just normal. I dunno is it normal? I continue my sketch until I hear a small thump. I look up at the window in confusion until I see him. From what I see he has black hair and blue eyes? He waves at me and points to a sign. My eyes follow his finger and land on a bowl of nachos and a sign reading 'Welcome to the neighborhood. Wanna nacho?' I'm utterly confused. I write back a 'thanks? Also wouldn't I have to come over to your house for a nacho?'

He scribbles something onto the notebook and faces it back toward the window.

'Yea? I'm inviting you over. Unless you don't wanna come over it's fine.'

'Um no but I'll have to ask my parents...'

'I can wait (^∇^)'

I smile and write down 'be right back'. I leave to go ask my parents.

"Mom? Dad?" I call out.

"Yes honey?" My mother says stepping out from her room.

"Can I go over to the next building?" I ask quietly.

"Why?"

"Well.... I was invited over by our neighbor."

"How?"

"Well he threw who knows what at my window when I was drawing and invited me over for nachos."

Cue my mother squealing.

"You got invited over by a BOY!?" she shrieks in delight.

"Um yes?"

"Make sure to invite him over for dinner! I can't wait to meet him!"

"Um... I'll try-"

"YAY! Now go meet up with your boyfriend!"

"MOOOOMMMMMM!"

I bolt to my bedroom and close the door. I look over to my window to see the boy with a note saying 'well?'

I quickly write down, 'meet me in the lobby I'm coming over!'

He grins at me before leaving the window. I smile as well as I grab my phone and run out of the penthouse.

North's POV

I stand in the elevator nervously. Don't mess this up she's new don't scare her off , I say to myself. I walk down shoving my way through the busy lobby. I spot an elderly man laying on the floor trying to get up, people just walking past him. So I shove my way through the crowd to get to him.

"Sir are you okay?" I ask in concern as I help him up.

"Yes young man I am fine." He says with a gracious smile.

"Okay do you need help getting anywhere?"

"Oh me I'm fine I'm just visiting." He says. He waves and walks away toward the exit. I sit on one of the plush chairs in the lobby, figeting nervously.

Kairi's POV

I was walking toward the building when I here something being dropped. I turn my head to see an old man in a red Hawaiian shirt trying to reach for a small box he dropped without falling. I quickly walk over and pick up the small box handing it to him.

"Thank you young lady. I'm afraid my back isn't what it used to be." He chuckles.

"Ah it's no problem sir." I say softly.

"Your probably supposed to be somewhere right now," he says as he puts the box away, " I won't keep you waiting."

"Oh that's right! Thank you sir have a nice day!" I call out to him as I break out into a jog toward the pale blue building.

I enter through the door and look around until I spot him. We make eye contact. He gets up off the multicolored seat as we walk toward each other. He gives me a grin.

"Hey I'm North!" He exclaims, holding a hand out for me to shake.

I shyly grab his hand and give it a firm shake, "I'm Kairi, nice to meet you!"

"Kairi?"

"Yup that's my name!"

"I like it! It's a very pretty name!" He chirps. I blush a little. No one has ever said that to me before...

"Anyway, the nachos I made upstairs aren't gonna eat themselves let's go!" He laughs as he grabs my hand and pulls me toward the elevators. I laugh and follow him.
