(Ship: McHanzo)
Hanzo could barely comprehend the piece of artwork before him. In his hands was a small statuette of a blue dragon, spiraling upwards around an arrow. Every part of it was so delicate, so realistic. It was almost jaw-dropping.
"So... Do ya like it?" the cowboy's voice drew Hanzo away from the statue.
"Yes. It is quite the piece. You have my thanks, McCree." Hanzo nodded, a ghost of a smile on his face.
A crooked grin spread on McCree's face, mixing well with his otherwise haphazard appearance. Hanzo felt a joy inside himself - McCree's smile always had done that to him, or at least, for as long as Hanzo could remember. For a moment, a smile even slipped onto his face, as he looked back down to admire McCree's gift.
"I found it at a flea market in Dorado. Some old guy was sellin' all these statues, and this one caught my fancy. It reminded me of you." McCree explained after a moment of silence, distracting Hanzo again.
Hanzo was silent for a few moments. McCree had been thinking of him? His brow furrowed involuntarily, although he felt his cheeks heat up somewhat in a light blush. He brushed it off as embarrassment, and chuckled nervously.
"Thank you, McCree. It was very kind of you to gift this to someone such as me." he sighed, giving an awkward smile.
The grin fell from McCree's face, much to Hanzo's disappointment and confusion. McCree was silent for a few seconds before responding.
"I dunno, Hanzo. I think ya deserve this li'l gift, in fact, I think ya deserve more." he finally replied, his grin returning.
Hanzo looked up, even more confounded than before. He went to respond, only to be cut off.
"Lemme buy ya dinner tonight - then we can call it even. How's that sound?"
If Hanzo wasn't blushing before, he was now. Was McCree asking him on a date..? Butterflies began to fly around in his stomach at the thought, and a shy smile grew on his face. He was so focused on not stuttering that he barely recognized the obvious blush on McCree's expression.
"Well, if you insist, McCree. In fact, it does sound nice to get out and have dinner somewhere fancy for once in a long time." Hanzo stated, only for a smirk to cross McCree's face.
"Ohhhh no. If I'm buyin' your food, we're goin' where I wanna go." he replied mischievously.
Hanzo narrowed his eyes, the blush slowly disappearing from his face.
"If you're thinking that I'm going to go eat at that run-down diner on Route 66-" he began, half-glaring at McCree, only for the cowboy to laugh.
"C'mon, dragon-boy, let's go get you supper. I'll let ya pick whatever ya want." he chortled, waving for Hanzo to follow him.
"Oh, an' by the way - I wouldn't drink the coffee."
